Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
We loved the combination of orange and cinnamon in these. Not too sweet...just perfect.

Baked Mushroom Thighs

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2008
This was really good! Everyone liked it. The only thing I did differently was to add some onion soup mix (dry) to the bread crumbs to punch up the flavor. YUM!

Old-Fashioned Chicken and Noodles

The chicken was AWESOME! I did baking mix dumplings as I didn't have eggs and flour - but I added the oil to baking mix with milk - YUM. I'll be saving this for winter time!

Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2007
Very good. I think it needed some more sugar to stiffen it up some - mine came out a little runny. No way it would have gone through a pastry bag and tip. I used milk chocolate topping and wish I would have used the true hot fudge - but it was awesome! Used it with the "Too Much Chocolate" cake with the "Fluffy White Filling". Yummy!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2007
A+++++. Not for the faint of heart or sugar sensitive people. I made this for dh's b-day cake with the "White Fluffy Filling" and topped with "Chocolate Fudge Buttercream" frosting. The cake was moist and dense. Very good.

Fluffy White Filling

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2007
Yummy! I did have to add some more sugar - it tasted too shortening-y without it. Used it as a filling with the "Too Much Chocolate Cake" with the Chocolate Fudge Buttercream frosting.

Fast and Easy Hamburger Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2007
Um...well...it's okay. Hubby thought is was okay, 5-year old liked it a lot, and I'm somewhere in between. I did use Cream of Mushroom soup with Roasted Garlic. I'll make again in a pinch.

Better Than Best Fried Chicken

Reviewed: May 24, 2007
It's a toss up between a 3 and a 4 star. It is messy - I ended up brushing the soup on with a basting brush. Make sure your oil is hot enough, this helps with keeping the coating on the chicken. DEFINATELY needs more spice in the coating mixture; pretty bland as written, though the crispiness is certainly A+. I'll try this again but am thinking of ways to infuse flavor into the soup mixture. Some hot sauce?

Incredibly Easy Chicken and Noodles

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
Hit the spot last night after a cool, drizzly day. I only used one 11 oz. pkg of frozen noodles as it was all I had. Came out more like a cream of chicken soup with noodles - but it was sooooo good!

Favorite Barbecue Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2007
Hubby gave this a 2, said it was too bland. I doubled the recipe and kept the honey and brown sugar at 1/4 cup. I added a few shakes of hot sauce. I thought it was pretty good and worth trying again.

Cheesy Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2007
Made this for tonight's dinner when I realized I didn't have elbow mac for mac and cheese. Thought this would come out more like a custard mac and cheese, but was pleasantly surprised when it was more on the creamy side. Did a few shakes of pepper.

Made this last night with chicken thighs. Yum! Forgot the Parm cheese, but it was still great. A little spicy for 4 year old, but she loved the chicken meat. Dh liked it as well. Thank you!

Best Spinach Dip Ever

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2006
I LOVE this stuff! I've only made it with Knorr's Veggie mix, never have found the Leek - but I think it's just awesome stuff. Sometimes I add a little minced garlic, leftover veggies such as green onion, red pepper, celery, etc. - whatever I need to use up. I've probably have made this at least 6 times in the last year.

Sausage Balls II

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2006
Just baked these up for Christmas breakfast. A little bland for me, but this can easily be remedied with a few shakes of red pepper flakes. I used Jimmy Dean sage sausage and sharp cheddar cheese crumbles. Did add one egg, a splash of milk and then a bit of ice water to make everything stick. I baked them on a cookie sheet lined with tin foil, sprayed with nonstick spray. I'm thinking these would be great to have in the freezer for quick breakfast on way to school or a lazy morning with a quick sawmill gravy over them! Thanks!

White Chocolate Gorp

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2006
Only I could manage to buy UNSALTED peanuts! So I sprinkled some table salt throughout the mix before the chocolate and made sure to dump the salt at the bottom of the pretzel bag in, too. Good stuff!Ummmm...be sure to turn it out on wax paper or coat your "mixing" pan with nonstick spray. I'm soaking my mixing pan in hot water right now! LOL

Golden Wedding Punch

First time making a punch. Little too sweet for me, I think I'd cut back on the pineapple juice and add some more OJ and lessen the sugar some.

Chicken Casserole Mississippi

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2006
I almost didn't try this recipe based on the bland reviews, it makes too much, etc. I'm glad I did try it. I put it in a 9x13, used leftover chicken. I found it to be comforting. I'll spice it some next time around. Hubby and daughter liked it a lot.
