Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
Great easy recipe! I added 2 tablespoons of liquid smoke and rubbed a boston butt with salt, pepper and garlic powder. I placed it in the crockpot the night before the party and it turned out fantastic. Thanks for sharing!

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
This was my first time making marinara sauce. It turned out very good. I only used half the amount of oil and wine though.

Beer Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2009
Very good! Similar to the Tastefully Simple mix and nicer to your wallet ;) I used 1/3 cup of sugar and drizzled 3 tbsp of melted butter on the dough before baking it. Comes of crusty on the outside and soft on the inside!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2009
I can't believe how easy these were to make! I have use both semi-sweet and milk chocolate chip and I prefer the semi-sweet. I think it has a nice look and taste to it. I make these for all my parties and they're always gone within 5 minutes!!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2009
These are very good. Not the "best" I've tasted, but good enough. Don't leave them in any longer than the recipe calls for or else they won't be nice and soft in the middle. My kids gobbled them up with no complaints :)

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2009
Great icing! It does take some time to completely dry, but the end results are fantastic. I used to clear vanilla extract so my white was white and not cream. Thanks for sharing!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2009
This was my first time making this type of cookie. I used them for a cookie bouquet and they turned out fabulous!! I did add a tsp more vanilla extract and a 1/2 cup more sugar. I did not find the dough hard to work with at all. I also separated the dough into quarters and loosely wrapped them in saran wrap to chill.

Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2008
This was a great recipe, but I did reduce the mayonnaise in half. I think using the full amount would have made them a little too greasy. They were very tasty. I will make these again.

Creamy Dill Cucumber Toasties

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2008
These were FANTASTIC! A great alternative to cucumber sandwiches. I combined all the ingredients the night before to let them really blend together. My guests devoured them and then asked for the recipe. I will definitely be making these again. Thanks for sharing!

Pizza Pinwheels

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2008
These were very messy to make, even after freezing the dough for 15 minutes prior to making and 15 minutes after rolling them. They just tasted very ordinary. I wouldn't make these again.

I LOVE this recipe! I make it all the time! I did make a few slight changes though. I add 1 exra clove of garlic, a 1/4 cup of sour cream and omit the basil. My family and friends devour it!

Southern Candied Sweet Potatoes

WOW! This was fabulous! I've tried many other candied sweet potato recipes, but they just weren't that great. Even a dinner guest who doesn't like sweet potatoes said this was really good! Thanks for sharing!

Sorry, but this just wasn't that great. I followed the recipe exactly, and it was just way to greasy. I will not be making it again.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
Very good! My picky 5 year old LOVES this. I just made some slight changes though. Added some worstershire sauce to the ground beef mixture for some more flavor. I omitted the carrots and added some frozen peas and corn instead. I also left off the cheese.

Shrimp Linguine

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2007
DELICIOUS! Tasted very similar to an entree at the Olive Garden. I did make some slight changes though which is why I only gave it 4 stars. The sauce definitely needed to be doubled and I substituted the heavy cream with hald & half. I used half the amount of parsley and completely omitted the thyme. I used frozen peeled and deveined shrimp. It's much faster and easier and tasted great! I sauteed them in butter and garlic instead of cooking them in the sauce. I will definitely be making this again! Next time, I think I may add some asparagus, yum!
