This banana bread was certainly tasty, but I don't think there's any reason to be so hysterical about it. I tried this both warm and chilled; I think you can taste the banana better when it's cold.
As an adult, I'm used to reduced-fat baking. This bread tasted much like the kind of bread my family used to make when I was growing up. So, again, it certainly was tasty, but the way the recipe is written you'd think SWAT teams would bust through my windows the second I cut it!! :)
I added 1 tsp. each vanilla and cinnamon, though I didn't explicitly taste them in the finished product. I baked for 60 minutes total (checking after 45 minutes) and needed to tent with foil because by 45 minutes the top was more than browned enough.
