Balsamic Marinated Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: May 25, 2012
This was sooooo good!!!! Taking the suggestion of another user, I doubled all of the dry ingredients. I let it marinate for about three hours, slapped them on the grill and ..... trust.... your taste buds will thank you for preparing this yummy dish ! Make sure you DOUBLE the dry ingredients. I could taste the ingredient blend with each bite.

Grilled Asparagus

Reviewed: May 22, 2012
I didn't use olive oil, but used a canola oil spray, to reduce calories...and oil intake. I seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic power, and onion powder then grilled for about 10 minutes....they are sooooo good!!! ...and healthier without all the oil.

Shredded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
Very good recipe. I cored the brussels sprouts and quartered them, they naturally shred themselves. In the future I may had a few dashes of balsamic vinegar in the final stages of cooking for added flavor.

Crispy Edamame

Very good. Followed others suggestions, added a bit of garlic powder, kosher salt, course pepper, dried them off before cooking. After they finished cooking, I set oven on high broil for the last minute...turned out great!

Followed the recipe with the exception of two things: 1. used no scallops and 2. added a bit of balsamic vinegar. This shrimp was DELICIOUS...will definitely keep this in the rotation!

Jasmine's Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2009
Great recipe and very forgiving...Adjustments I made... 1. Let the cook (boil) a little longer for tenderness...(I added 1/2 and 1/2 water and chicken broth) 2. I also added sliced roasted chicken sausage. 3. Didn't have bacon or panchetta so I rinsed of 2 slices of salt pork and cut it up. 4. Cooked it a bit longer because I like a tender sprout full of flavor and cooked well. It turned out AWESOME!

Just took it out the oven. The taste is great. Doubled the can of cheese soup and used plenty of sharp cheddar cheese. Added a dollup of sour cream. Mixed all the indgredients in the strained pot of noodles. Very, very, very creamy. Very good. Get's five stars for taste and ease of use.

Old Fashioned Tea Cakes I

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2008
I have never seen a tea cake recipe with molasses as an ingredient, so I decided to try it. I bought regular molasses instead of light, maybe this was my mistake. It turned into the best tasting gingerbread I've tasted, not at all like a tea cake, not even close. Next time I will stick to the traditional tea cake recipe - no molasses. But if you're into gingerbread you'll like this recipe. Have Fun Cooking.

Tuna Noodle Casserole II

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
Very Good Recipe. Like others, I made a few changes. My family loves cheese,so instead of Cream of Celery, I bought the Campbells Cheddar Cheese in the can. I also added a 1/4 cup of sour cream and opted to use the Ritz butter crackers instead of potato chips. I was afraid that stored and reheated leftovers topped with chips would end up soggy. I used celery salt instead of the celery soup and added a blend of white cheeses and sharp cheddar cheese instead of American Cheese. It is a delicious meal. This is a forgiving recipe...I forgot to put in the garlic and it still turned out wonderful. Thanks for the recipe Chris. Have fun cooking!

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2008
A true winner. The Glaze is Delicious. I used seasonsed salt, instead of plain salt - it probably won't matter either way. I will definitely make this again - it was just two easy. I served it with buttered green beans and wild rice. Have fun cooking!

Real New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
Very easy to make....next time, I will not use quite as much butter. One stick of butter was plenty. It smells pretty good, would prefer a spicier, bolder taste - maybe the butter took away from that some. It was good, I would have given it a 5 if had a bolder taste. Thanks for sharing. Have fun cooking.

Grilled Rock Lobster Tails

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
Followed the recipe exactly. It was delicious. I took the meat completely out, although it was still attached to the tail and let it grill with the meat completely exposed to the grill and the shell resting on the meat. I basted the meat front and back as the tail was was easy to manipulate while the meat was out. Lobster is so expensive. I only cooked two tails, could have easily eaten more. Have fun cooking.

Easy Asparagus

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2007
I have never made asparagus before, but had a taste for it, picked some up on the way home and found this recipe. I had all most of the ingredients at home already and it was really very good. Of course every cook add their own touch. I cut the stalks in half and then cut them again to open them up lengthwise. I used a white onion, (that was what I had on hand) and instead of a white wine, I had to use this delicious garlic vinaigrette - It was delicious. If you like your asparagus more tender than crunchy, like me, reduce the heat some and cover it. I shook the asparagus around frequently in the skillet with the lid on to make sure the seasoning were coating well. I added a bit more seasoning in the cooking process, salt, pepper and lemon pepper. Turned out great! Can't wait to make it again.

Rosemary Chicken with Orange-Maple Glaze

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2005
No complaints. This was really easy to make and tasted really good. I did get a mallet and thin out the chicken breasts before cooking. I also added constarch as other cooks advised to thicken it up. I did not have fresh rosemary and used bottled rosemary. Tasted Great. Have fun cooking!
