Chocolate Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
bland & dry. The batter tasted good but the end result was like chocolate day old bread. i wish i would have read more reviews before wasting my time. Like someone else said... you cant make fluffy that little bit of butter with all that sugar. (THAT should have been my cue for the dry result) ALSO.. people who rate the recipe 5stars AFTER they make their changes should not be rating at all. That is a new recipe and you are leaving this one with a lie. im ticked i wasted my time.

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2009
it may not look the prettiest if serving to guests for a more formal 'do' but who cares.... this is to die for. screw the guests, you'll want this all for yourself! thanks! You MUST pair this with a scoop or 2 of real french vanilla ice cream - theres a big difference between plain o vanilla and french. mmmmm mmm mmmmmm

Baking Powder Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
very tasty. (i love plain tea biscuits) I mixed the first ingredients using my new kitchenaide mixer with the dough hook when putting in the chilled cubed butter (substituted same amount of butter for shortning) I also didn't have cream of tatar so i left it out. i also turned the oven down to 400 for about 10 minutes until lightly brown and they came out perfect, buttery and flaky. Even cooled down they were pretty good.

Phenomenal Chicken and Pasta in Creamy Pesto Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
Very good. For added colour i put in some thinly sliced roasted sweet red pepper strips with a bit of the oil from from the jar. I added a few sliced mushrooms as well when sauteing the onions. I didn't have the pine nuts and i used 3/4 of a small jar of boughten pesto sauce rather than making it. WHen serving i thinly sliced some real parmesan cheese on top.

Chicken Supreme III

Reviewed: May 26, 2004
I make this dish quite frequently but a little different... The ingredient that many are missing in their reviews may be the vegetables. I half fill the casserole dish with a mix blend of frozen vegetables, then pour over top a can of cream mushroom soup, or cream of celery (mixed with half a can of water), then on the top, cover over with prepared box of stove-top dressing/stuffing. I don't add cheese. Can't remember the time in oven...check the vegetables after 30 minutes. The stuffing on top should be lightly browned. It's a great quick dish.

Cajun Style Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2004
Great recipe! These pepers are amazing. The last few minutes in the oven I grated Montery Jack cheese on the tops, sprinkled a little cajun spice and set the oven to broil for a couple minutes.

Cheddary Artichoke Snacks

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2003
These were excellent — a nice change to the typical brie w/ crackers for my appetizers. Very tasty and easy to make. The artichoke and red peppers are a good combo. I served them on lightly toasted thin-sliced french baquette bread. A must for my next 'partay.'

Chicken Spectacular

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2003
I'm not sure why of all the great reviews for this dish. I don't think it was even 'ok'. The water chestnuts gave it this awful crunch and taste and overall the dish was waaay too creamy. The pimentos and green french beans is just a bad combination.
