Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2014
This banana bread was pretty good, but I think what I didn't like about it is that it was too rich.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
They tasted good, but a little too simple for me. The picture is misleading because the potatoes are cubed in it even though the directions say to mash them.

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
I really liked this recipe, and I'm not even a fan of sweet potato! Combining it with pecans really makes it awesome.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2013
It was too bitter and salty. Yuck. I had to throw half of it away.

Naan

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2013
This naan was hard to make and eat. The dough wouldn't roll out. It hardened soon after I made it and it was so hard it was inedible.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2013
This is probably the best chocolate chip cookie recipe you'll find. It's the recipe suggested on the back of nestle chocolate chips bags! (kind of like that one episode of friends) The cookies turn out plump, soft, and delicious. The secret ingredient is the pudding mix. Also don't make cookies if you're thinking about substituting the butter.

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

It was dry on the inside and way to salty on the outside.

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2013
This Butter Chicken turned out very badly. It tasted more like a tomato sauce. The sour cream didn't blend well. And it wasn't thick enough. There's another recipe on the site call "Easy Indian Butter Chicken" that tastes great when I make it.

Easy Indian Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2013
It definitely isn't perfect butter chicken but it's probably the best I'll ever make. Good Indian food recipes are so hard to get your hands on. I am Indian so this rating includes an authenticity factor. It's very rich and the chicken came out delicious. The other popular butter chicken recipe on the site came out horrible when I made it and I think it was the difference between using heavy cream and sour cream. Recipe edit: I eliminated the butter and used 2 tbs oil to caramelize the onion and garlic, I halved the salt, lastly I drain out the chicken after I bake it. I want to try cooking the chicken in the sauce itself.

Honey Baked Chicken II

The flavor didn't sink in and I could barely even taste it on the outside either.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2012
This was absolutely delectable. The one concern I had before I made it was thinking that it might taste bland but the amount of pepper was perfect! These are some things I had trouble with and eventually figured out. Definitely have a potato peeler on hand! I only figured this out at years after I started making this soup. Another problem I had was the ham. I couldn't find cubed ham or a block small enough to meet the amount I needed. After much deliberation at WalMart I figured I'd just use a packet of sliced cook ham and it turned out fine! The last issue I had with the recipe was the chicken bullion. Since all I have are cubes, I had no idea how much to put in. What people say online didn't match up to what it says on the container. So I went with 2 cubes and it turned out great.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 16, 2012
My roommate and I finished this in less than 2 days. It's soo moist and it's just perfect. It has the perfect amount of sweetness. I bought a loaf pan after making it because I decided it deserved better than a cake pan.

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

Reviewed: May 4, 2012
It tasted pretty good but after refrigerating, even putting it in the microwave won't melt down the frosting. It's very hard if you put it in the fridge.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

These were okay. I didn't like them because they tasted a little to sugary and they were a little more flat than I like.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: May 3, 2012
I followed the recipe exactly. The richness of the chocolate is the perfect amount. However it's tastes very artificial. Mine ended up burning at the top so I sliced of the burnt parts and topped it with chocolate frosting. I didn't even keep it in for the full time! Everyone who's tried it, likes it. I am a perfectionist and very picky. I'd make it again and to try different frostings.
