About this Cook
I have been cooking since I could read a cookbook and reach the stove. I cook when I'm stressed and I cook when I'm happy. I feel very creative in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
I most like to cook casseroles and Mexican and Italian dishes. I always like to make most recipes just a little bit healthier in some way.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite tradition is Christmas cookie baking. Even though I bake all the time, I love the the excitement of Christmas baking.
My cooking triumphs
I don't have any particular one. It has just always brought me a lot of pleasure to see my family enjoy my cooking and I love the compliments.
My cooking tragedies
My worst tragedy was when I was twelve years old, I was melting sugar in the iron skillet making peanut brittle. While I was stiring the melted sugar, I dropped a glob of it on my wrist. Talk about a blister. I finished the peanut brittle and everyone enjoyed it.

Lucky's Quickie Chickie
I certainly agree with everyone; this is delicious. I am so glad I finally tried this recipe. It has really been popular on here. I did pound my tenderloins and also as Lucky suggested, I doubled the sauce. This was so quick and simple to make. I served it over some seasoned rice. This will become a regular here. Thank you Lucky for sharing this awesome recipe.

Easy Mayonnaise Biscuits
I sort of found this recipe by accident but am so glad I did. These were delicious biscuits to eat with our vegetable soup today. I did make my own self-rising flour. I baked these at 400 degrees for 15 minutes on parchment paper. I will definitely make these again. You are right, kitchen_angel, this recipe is amazing. Thank you.

Basil Vinaigrette Dressing
So easy, so simple yet so delicious. Makes me say bye-bye to store bought dressing. I did add a pinch of kosher salt. The fresh taste is delicious. Thank you NEERONDOGS for reminding us how easy it is to eat healthier.
