AMAZING! This was the best corned beef I have ever had! Served it with potatoes, carrots, and cabbage. Only change I made was after browning the meat, I deglazed the pan with about 1/2-3/4 of a cup of good German beer. Then once the onions and garlic were on top of the beef, I poured the contents of the pan over everything and used that as the cooking liquid instead of water, dropped an extra clove of sliced garlic in the bottom of the pan, then covered with foil and put it in the oven. When everything was finished cooking, the meat was fork tender and the drippings made a gravy that put the whole meal over the top! I will never make another boiled or crock-pot corned beef again.
