About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Things that are simple & healthy to cook that do not take too much time or overly special ingredients.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Turkey dinner with all the trimmings at holidays. Soooo good!
My cooking tragedies
My first cheesecake could not have been a bigger disaster. Had to make several trips to the store and the first crust ended up on the floor. The pan was too small and it overflowed. It tasted great, but I was EXHAUSTED at the end and swore I would never make another cheesecake. And I never have!

Most Requested Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins
Loved these! Made them exactly according to receipe except two things. I added a tsp of cinnamon as suggested by other reviewers. I also mixed all parts of the receipe with a spatula-not a hand mixer. A hand mixer will overbeat your muffins and make them tough. A spatula worked great.

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins
The batter was so dry that I had to add a cup of applesauce. Not much pumpkin flavour. Only used about 1/3 of the struesel topping and that was lots. Would not make this receipe again.

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs
I liked baking the ribs first. Make sure u dry the ribs with a paper towel before u salt and pepper or they will not brown. I used 1 bottle of Diana rib and chicken BBQ sauce plus 1 bottle Diana maple BBQ sauce for the sauce. I also cut up the ribs after baling before they went in the slow cooker. Delicious!!!
