Peanut Butter Easter Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
These are very good and SUPER easy to make, i added 1/2 extra tbsp of milk though, thought they needed it. I used chocolate confectionary wafers instead of chocolate squares. Wafers are already tempered so your chocolate won't melt once your eggs are dipped.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2007
I am only giving these 3 stars because, they were not soft, which I was very disappointed in, I hate hard cookies. They did however, have very good flavor. Don't know what I did wrong, not sure if I'll try again or not.

Eileen's Spicy Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
These cookies are the BEST!!!! I rolled mine in between floured waxed paper and had no problem with them sticking. I reduced the cloves to 1/2 tsp., cloves are potent, a whole teaspoon seemed like waaayyyy too much for me. I added a tad more cinnamon in place of the cloves and they tasted great. Recipe only makes a small amount, I ended up with a dozen last night and they are all gone as of 15 min. ago when my son ate the last one!!

This is the best carrot cake EVER. I ended up with a marriage proposal for making this cake for a co-worker! I did cut back on the oil slightly to 1 1/4 C. Added more cinnamon and cloves.

Cathy's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2007
This bread was very good, however I think it could use a tad more flour. Mine came out a little sticky and kinda flat on top. I did not measure out what 1 cup of bananas was, I used 5 and I thought it was perfect. Very moist!!

Peach Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2007
Very tasty and moist. I only used 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon, as other reviews stated that 3 was way to much. I think it could maybe use more peaches, but other than that I liked it and will make it again!

Apple Loaf

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2007
Excellent! I also increased the apples (2 cups) and added a 1/2 cup of applesauce along with the butter, to increase moisture. I made 5 small loaf pans half with walnuts half without. Both were equally as good. I also sprinkled the tops with a cinnamon sugar mixture~ Yum-oh! I thought they were very moist and had alot of flavor! Oh yeah, I also added a 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon and maybe an 1/8 tsp. of cloves!

Zucchini Bread IV

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
This was my first time making this, I have always been curious as to it's taste. I have no other recipes to compare it to, but I thought it was very good. I took it to work and it was gone in no time. I received lots of compliments. Alot of them were about how moist it was. Thanks for a great recipe. I too doubled the zucchini.

Yellow Layer Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2007
This recipe is okay, it is however, to dry, and I feel it's kind of bland. So I just thought I would point out that the recipe on here for the White Layer Cake works well by substituting egg yolks instead of the whites, as a yellow cake. That is the recipe I use now, it is very moist and flavorful. I did make some slight alterations that worked great for me. Go check it out!

Sandy's Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2007
This recipe is the BEST, I saw it on the back cover of my Taste of Home magazine, but never tried it. The reason I love this site so much is because you can read the reviews and I NEVER bother making a recipe that does not have at least 10 good reviews and that is 10 in a row. This is the best chocolate cake I think I've had so far on this site. I thought the last one I made was good, but no where near as good as this one. I even added a sml. package of chocolate pudding, don't know if that made it more moist but just thought I'd try it since they put it in some cake mixes, I thought it wouldn't hurt anything. I didn't make all three layers just 2, and made cupcakes with it, my kid's wanted cupcakes. This one is a keeper for me!! Thanks Sandy, I enjoyed your story, I think I've told it to like 3 people now.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
These browinies are the bomb! Chewy and cakey all together! I didn't make the icing recipe that is listed on here though. I did however, double the recipe, because it was way to small for my family, and I increased cocoa, since I doubled the recipe I used 1 C. of cocoa, awsome. To those of you who are so negative because yours did not turn out, all I can say is, not everyone has the same luck at baking as others. Does not mean it is an awful recipe. 10 people can make the same recipe at the same time, and all 10 recipes will turn out differently. With 1000 some reviews, there's alot of people having good luck with them, this just isn't the recipe for you obviously!

Four Egg Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2007
I was not impressed with this cake. I was excited after reading all the good reviews, thinking this would be an awsome cake, but it definetly was not in my opinion. It was spounge like, not as moist as I would have liked either. I'm sticking with the Moist Yellow Cake recipe on here!
