Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2014
I've never been a soup fan, but have always loved potato soup - and this recipe is a perfect example of why. This is a mistake-proof recipe that you can add a personal touch to - add or subtract the veggies you desire. I use a mixture of home-made vegetable broth and water. For this recipe, I used vegetable broth made from celery, onion and asparagus discards. Top it with bacon, pepper, cheese, dill, scallions or any combination of those. Or, just enjoy. Very good either way.

Turkey Shepherd's Pie

Very tasty. Added chunks of zucchini and added a half can of cream of mushroon soup in lieu of the flour. Topped with leftover mashed potatoes and french fried onion crumbles.

Tasty Buns

These turned out great. Very versatile - used them for burger buns, sandwiches and with butter as a dinner roll.

Ginger Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2014
This was very tasty and simple to make. I used sesame oil instead of peanut and white onion instead of green. I think I might add the finished pork mixture to the rice to distribute the concentration of flavors just before serving. The ginger, garlic and onion stick to the pork and is excellent - probably one of the best ways to dress up a plain pork chop or loin. Thanks for sharing it!

Microwave Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2013
This was super simple and excellent - it turned out just like store-bought! I tried one batch and was so impressed that I made two more to hand out at Christmastime. I used all measurements but decreased each session in the microwave by half a minute.

Juicy Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 15, 2013
Every pork chop I cook is too dry, so I decided to marinate for a day with fresh minced garlic, half a can of beer and added some sesame oil to the soy sauce marinade. This was the most tender and juicy boneless pork chop that has ever come out of my oven. I set aside some marinade to pour over fresh asparagus with portobello mushroom and white onion while sauteing. A side of Asian noodles finished it all off.

Pan Fried Daikon Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2013
This was the tastiest way to enjoy one of these huge radishes. I would stress draining them thoroughly, as they can fall apart during frying. Will make again. Thanks for the recipe!
