German Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2006
this is the exact same recipe my great grandmother from Ukrania used to make. Only one additional suggestion. Once potatoes are grated squeeze out excess water either using a cheese cloth or 3 paper towels work well too. The latkes will cook better without the excess water. Made them for one daughters preschool class and the others kindergarten class. Both were great successes. We either have them with sour cream or applesauce.

Scott Ure's Clams And Garlic

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2005
A great recipe! We use this recipe along with some variations. We live by ocean and often go claming when we go out on the boat. So the cost is not a factor but if I had to buy them - always in the shell fresh garlic is also a must. In addition to the broth we melt butter with a little lemon and FRESH garlic (always a must in any recipe) and dunk the clams in the butter mixture as well (sort of like you do with lobster). Cooked Bacon is also a nice added flavor. We actually have to stop our 3 year old from eating too many!

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2005
I cubed the chicken instead of whole chicken breasts, "browned" the cubes and followed the rest of the recipe as it is. My 4 year old daughter - queen of the fusspots - HATES chicken - LOVES this even has seconds! AWESOME!

Green Beans for a Special Occasion

Reviewed: May 24, 2004
I've looke all over for this recipe - we used it at our Italian family Christmas party - as we were all tired of green beans with tomotoes. This has been a nice addittion to our menue. However, I do add soy sauce and sometimes either worsteshire or terriyaki while cooking - adds a nice flavor.

Barbie Doll Cake

Reviewed: May 24, 2004
Awesome and soo much easier than I thought it would be! I must have used a bowl that was not big enough becasue we had to take the extra batter and add it to 2 round cake pans in order for it to be tall enough to come up to Barbie's waste (actaully we used Ariel). I also went out and bought those tubes of icing that come with the different tops to add lace and bows to her dress. The cake was the hit of my 4 year old's party - and to think a local store charges 40$ fo rthis cake!!!

My husband and I love these - we were sooo tired of the same old broccolli with garlic and lemon. My 2 year old lvoes it too - but my 3 year doesn't like them so much. What a great way to serve as an appetizer!

Texas Ranch Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2003
I am soo glad to have a recipe that takes so little time and tastes so good! My 3 year old queen of the fussy loves this dish! It is the magical dish that got her to eat chicken (well -drumsticks only)! I have shared it with my fellow moms as well as this web site! My husband (who my daughter got her fussiness from) loved it also! It is a new family favorite and great for those days that I just don't have time to make a long to make meal! One suggestion: I pan fried the chicken first and it made it even tastier.
