It's Chili by George!!

I have this simmering in the crock pot now for Superbowl Sunday. I only made a couple of changes just because I like my chili thick and spicy. I omitted the tomato juice and added two reg cans of diced tomatoes. I added a half pound of spicy Italian sausage, two tsp. diced garlic, an extra tbs. chili powder, and tripled the cayenne. This already tastes amazing and I know everyone will love it. Thanks so much!

Bacon and Potato Soup

If your looking for something hardy don't try this. You have to make a lot of changes adding flavor and richness. This is just a runny soup like from a cheap can.

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

Amazing! I changed just a touch by adding 1/2 cup of brown sugar to make 2 cups total, and I used 1 cup canola oil and a teaspoon of nutmeg. I baked in two 9 inch cake pans for 30 minutes and after I frosted I sprinkled with the remaining walnuts. I kept out the raisins since I don't like them. And I have to say this is the very best carrot cake I have ever had and would be with or without my changes since they are subtle due to my tastes. I would recommend this one to anyone. Thank you for your recipe :)

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Good basic recipe but would have been too bland so here's what I did. I left out the chicken bouillon seasoning and added my garlic and herb (it's my favorite). Add one small diced up block of Velveeta cheese. That gives it lots of flavor and adds to the ham and potato. Also there is no need to mix the butter and flour and dirty a pan. Take a cup of flour and add milk and stir like crazy till it's as smooth as possible and thick like pancake syrup. Slowly add to your soup while it's boiling and keep stirring till it's as thick as you like. Make more flour/milk blend if necessary :)

Campbell's Kitchen Beef Stroganoff

I am giving this a 4 star due to great basic and easy recipe. However for mine I did use the sirloin and the sour cream. I doubled the soup and added 1 tbs. worcestershire. And I added one soup can of water (too thick). Also when you read the directions (if I read them right) there is no need to separate anything. Using the steak I used it created wonderful juices and I cooked the onion with the steak and seasoned well. I kept it together to keep the flavor. Easier and better! I also added peas to the plates with my non picky eaters :) Tasted great and everyone loved!

Cream Cheese Squares

These would have been perfect had I listened to the other reviews. Half the cream cheese mixture and brushing the top with real butter instead of a half cup of margarine. I love cream cheese, but it's overwhelming! I did use a raspberry jam layer before I added the cream cheese and the two went great together. Hope this helps.

Alfredo Sauce

I made this dish with a few changes and it was perfect! My entire family loved it (even the ones that don't like Alfredo)! My changes were...4 cloves of diced garlic added to the butter and I used Pecorino Romano cheese with the Parmesan so it added a much stronger flavor. Good choice if that's what you are looking for.
