I'm a foodie. My kitchen is my entertaining room. My husband says " I don't even know why we have a family room." I love to cook and garden. It makes me happy. I want to teach my boys to cook, preserve and bake. That way they can be self-sufficiant or can help their future families.
My favorite things to cook
Anything. I love to play in the kitchen. I love to preserve foods, there is nothing like going to the pantry for green beans that you know are your own.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making homemade noodles with my sister. Christmas cookies and candies with my family and friends.
My cooking triumphs
Canning, scones and anything healthy my picky boys will eat!!! Herbs... I love to cook with, read about and grow them>
My cooking tragedies
Scones, biscuits. I don't know alot about spices and paring with what foods.

Overnight Blueberry French Toast
My boys and husband made this for me last year for Mother's Day breakfast in bed. Hoping they make it a tradition!

Slow Cooker Apple-Scented Venison Roast
This roast is wonderful. And the apple does do something magical. I also made this using 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar and it tased like sauerbraten! Awesome recipe.

Good for You Greek Salad
This is a wonderful salad. I put a teaspoon of balsalmic vinegar in place of 1 teaspoon of lemon juice used greek seasoning and put it in a blender then added olive oil to make a emulsified dressing. it reminds me of gazpacho except it's a salad not soup! Delish.
