Hawaiian Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2003
This bread is so sweet and tasty! My kids just love it. It almost tastes better after a few hours for the flavors to cool off and to settle in. I used this in conjunction with another recipe from here, "Chicago Dip". It's a spinich dip and you dip chunks of this bread into it. I just cut up the bread into big size chunk-squares and served it with this dip. It was a big hit at a baby shower last night. The only thing I did different was use vanilla instead of cocunut because I didn't have cocunut. Enjoy! Priscilla P

Seven Layer Dip I

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2003
I made two platters of this last night for a baby shower, and I had probably 10 people say something about the dip, and some didn't even know I made it so it made me feel so good. Everyone ate it right up!! I made one with homemade salsa/pico sauce which was fast and easy since I already had the processor out. (I just blended up a quarter of a purple onion, quarter of a white onion, a half of lime juice, about 2 shakes of salt, garlic salt, and garlic powder and a handful of cilantro...it was pretty fast.) It tasted so good and fresh that way. Make sure you add taco seasoning to the beans as well and I added a few drops of water to make the spreading easier. For faster assembly, buy already chopped fresh green onions if your grocer has it and canned chopped olives, not diced. Roma tomatoes are more of a deep red so they look prettier. This was a definite repeater!! Thanks! Priscilla

No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2003
Super easy/fun and tasty recipe. My 6 yr. old daughter and her cousin wanted to make cookies so this is a great one for them. I just helped out at the stove and the rest I let them do. Tasted great! thanks. Priscilla P.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2003
These were something else! I didn't use near as much topping based on the reviews I read that way it wouldn't fall apart. They taste like something at a bakery..definitely not something in a box or plastic bag at the grocery store. Thanks for a great recipe. Priscilla P.

Hawaiian Banana Nut Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2003
This is a great tasting bananna bread!! I make this about once a week for family/friends. I actually add a whole 20 oz. can of drained crushed pineapple, use 1 1/2 cups oil (or if I want to do it lower fat use 3/4 c. oil and 3/4 c. unsweetened applesauce). I eliminate the coconut and cherries for more of a traditional bananna bread with a twist. I get so many requests for this recipe. Thanks. Priscilla P.

Chicago Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2003
Brought this to a baby shower and it was fantastic! Got lots of compliments. I used 2 of the small containers of spinich so it wasn't too mayo-ish. It also made more by adding the extra spinich. It takes only about 10 min. to whip up and I served it with the hawaiian bread bowls you can buy in the deli section of supermarkets. I cut out the middle and put crackers and the bread chunks on the outside and let people use those two to eat with the dip. I also made homemade hawaiian bread found on this website as extra bread for the dip and it was a hit as well. Thanks a bunch! Priscilla P
