About this Cook
I am 29, and a newly wed. I have never actually got into cooking or baking nor have I enjoyed it until I met my husband. It gives me joy to have him eating and liking the food that I make for him. I want to learn more things to cook and bake for my family now that we have a baby on the way, so I can make my family proud someday of the things that they put in their tummys.
My favorite things to cook
I like to make desserts, salads and soups the best.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our Italian themed Easter every year! (my mother has always done a spectacular job with this!)
My cooking triumphs
Home-made chicken pot pie, by far the best!
My cooking tragedies
Sauteeing onions in oil that was too hot, and forever having the scars on my arm to prove it.

Carol's Vermont Chili
I have been using this recipe for 2 years now and it is still a huge hit at my house! My husband LOVES this chilli and I have also made it for my mom and stepdad who were also fans. I omit the peppers (but that is just my personal taste). I think the maple syrup is the secret awesome ingredient in this chili. I will never make another chili again. This is by far my favorite and you wont be sorry trying it. Thanks for the great recipe :)

Thick and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
I didn't read the comments on this recipe until after I had already made the dough. So before I added the chocolate chips I tasted the dough. I decided to add a 1/4 cup of white sugar (which seemed to make it tastier) I also did not have unsalted butter so I used the salted butter that I had- and omitted the salt from the ingredients. However I would tell anyone using this recipe to watch the bake time because mine were done in 9-10 minutes. Any longer they would have burned. So overall, they were okay, My husband also agreed with a previous poster in saying that the cookies were "missing something". A little disappointed.....
