Yeast Waffles

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
Not to my liking.I use yeast a lot, but these waffles were inedible. In fact, I sent my husband to the store for some waffle mix because we just couldn't eat them. They tasted SO strongly of yeast and were almost bitter because of the lack of sugar. Even when I added more sugar and vanilla is didn't cover up the yeast taste. Really, really bad.

Bulgur Wheat with Dried Cranberries

WAY too salty - definitely cut down on the chicken bouillon!

Chicken and Pea Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2006
This recipe is a good base to add on to. I used almost 24 ounces of pasta, two cans of condensed soup (one chicken and one mushroom), 1 cup of low-fat sour cream, and a variety of frozen mixed vegetables, and it was wonderful! With the two soups and extra sour cream it was creamy and not dry at all. I also used one large boiled chicken breast which I thought was just enough. This is something I will make again and again. Also very good as leftovers!

Brown Rice, Broccoli, Cheese and Walnut Surprise

Reviewed: May 29, 2005
Very tasty. My husband commented that it had great flavor, and it gets two thumbs up for being so healthy. I also baked this for 1 hour and then added the cheese, walnuts, and frozen broccoli and cook for 20 more minutes uncovered. This will be a permanent addition to my cookbook!

Cheesy Enchiladas

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2004
Great, easy recipe! My boyfriend said it was the best enchilada he's ever had. I put cooked chicken in some of the enchiladas, and pepperoni in the others. Both were delicious! Also, I used a lot less cream cheese, enough to make it creamy, but not overbearing in taste.

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2004
Sooooo good! I love the texture and flavor of this bread. I only made a few changes. Instead of honey I use 1/2 cup of sugar (because I'm a poor college student) and I substitute applesauce for all of the butter. The applesauce mades the bread more moist and also healthier. Last, I use 5 cups of wheat flour and 3 cups of white because I like more wheat in my bread. Overall, a very, very good bread recipe.

Banana Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2004
These were ok, the taste, though, was a little too bananaey, and it kind of made me sick. I'd rather make banana bread with my ripe bananas.

Toasted Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2004
Very good! I served this with the spinach and artichoke dip restaurant style (on this website) and it was so tasty. The melted cheese on top was just right and the sauce was just garlicy enough.

Homemade Chicken Fettuccine

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2004
Yummy! I was worried while I was cooking that the sauce wasn't ever going to reach it's desired consistancy, but it did get somewhat thicker, and then after adding the cheese and removing it from the heat, it was perfect. This has definitely become a favorite because it's so easy and tasty!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2004
Excellent, excellent, excellent! This was so yummy! It was super easy to make, and turned out so good. I used the suggestion to bake it covered for 30 minutes layered, stir it, and then bake it for 10-15 minutes more uncovered. The end result was termed "better than Macaroni Grill's." Be sure, though, that the spinach is as dry as possible, so the dip isn't mushy.
