Umm Ali

Warning: DO NOT use one whole package of puff pastry, only 1 of the rolled pastries that come in one box is enough. Otherwise you'll end up with a very dry and crusty Umm Ali, and that is NOT what it should be. Umm Ali is a moist dessert, unlike the traditional American style bread pudding. I used walnuts instead of pine nuts. And 1/2 cup of sugar is more than enough!

No Sugar Added Cookies

Like other reviewers, I made some adjustments: -I used 1 cup white whole wheat flour, 1/4 almond meal, 1/4 cup flaxseed meal. -Instead of butter I used 1/2 cup of coconut oil (I like the coconut aroma it gives to baked goods) -I added 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips. -Made me 28 cookies by rounded tablespoons. And i did NOT chill the batter I've never been able to make cookies without sugar and these are awesome. I'll be making them again, and again! :)

Cream of Broccoli Soup I

I loved this soup, but I did have to adjust the recipe. -To give the soup a nicer color I added 1/2 tsp of turmeric, and 2 carrots. I boiled the carrots with the broccoli and then processed them. - I use chicken broth, not water. - I did not measure the broccoli I used but they were two large stalks. I processed the stalks and roughly chopped the florets. -And I added alot more cheese than is recommended, probably 1 cup instead of 1/2.

Chunky Monkey Pancakes

Yum Yum Yum! these were excellent. A few adjustments to make them a bit more wholesome: I increased the milk to 1 cup and used organic whole milk, I used white Whole Wheat Flour, Coconut oil instead of the butter and I left out the sugar, i also used chopped walnuts since i didn't have pecans. We topped them with 100% pure maple syrup, they are going to become our weekend special! thank you so much for sharing!
