very creamy, with a good taste. It did take awhile but it came out good. I didn't read the recipe right and put in the egg mixture after the 10 minutes and thought it was done. I put it in the fridge and I had watery rice pudding. I realized my mistake, poured it back into a large saucepan and boiled it for 2 minutes and it thickened right up and is a perfect consistancy. This is not overly weet which I like but a person who likes it sweet would definitely want to kick the sugar up a notch.
