Valentine's Day was my wedding anniversary. (Tomorrow would have been 25 years.) We always had a nice (maybe tri-tip marinated in teriyaki, fried rice . . . ) with "fancy" ice cream sandwiches for dessert, with the kids. Last year I started a new tradition - though, I'm not sure how long it will last (= I made a special treat for each of my kids and a couple friends. My son got homemade Baby Ruth Bars (Babe Ruth Bars II) without chocolate. My daugher got Pretzel Turtles, and the other daughter got chocolate dipped potato chips. Chocolate covered almonds for my friend and my son's gf. It was so much fun and everyone enjoyed their personal treats. This year I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by it, so I don't know if I will do it again next year, or not . . . Oh! This year I also added Caroline's Firecrackers to the line-up (=

We always make Valentine Sugar Cookies. When my kids were young, we used to decorate sugar cookies for every holiday. So, my cookies are sitting here waiting for everyone to come over and decorate their cookies. If my grown kids have time, they come over and decorate their cookies. Now, my granddaughter is 3 she gets to decorate hers anyway she wants.
