Triple Berry Crisp

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2003
I made this for company and everyone loved it. I could not find raspberries so I left them out. I used 2 1/2 cups of blueberries and 2 1/2 cups of blackberries. I served it warm with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. It was wonderfull!!

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2003
We had this for dinner and my family loved it. We do not drink alcohol so I substituted water for the wine and it worked well. Next time I will double the sauce. It really was not enough for the chicken breasts.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2003
Fantastic recipe. Make sure your flour and your yeast is fresh. My flour was a little old and it took a long time for them to rise in the pan. Other than that everyone loved them and I gave out the recipe to quite a few people.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2003
I enjoyed this recipe, however it was a bit to salty for me. Some of the flavor was overpowered by the saltiness.

Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2004
I made this cake three times. The first two for family events and I used the almond extract. I didn't really like the after taste of the almond. I substituded the almond extract with mint extract on the third cake and it was a huge hit. It tastes like chocolate chip mint. We topped it with a little bit of whipping cream. Yummy!!

Grilled Spicy Lamb Burgers

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2006
We had this a couple of days ago. My husband asked me not to make again but I would make it again for me with just half the herbs, the full amount of herbs was a bit overwhelming. One thing he did love is the feta. Now I am asked to use feta on all burgers.

Luscious Slush Punch

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2006
I made this and put the punch into ice cube trays like an earlier reviewer suggested and we love it. I ended up using 10 ice trays. To make it slushy faster I put a few cubes in a cup, add a little sprite then use my hand blender to break up the cubes and add the rest of the soda. The boys love it extra slushy! Great recipe!

Easy Cream Cheese Danish

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2006
I made the Danish this morning and it smelled soooo good! We really liked the recipe. The only thing I would change is double the crescent rolls and make two pans with the same amount of filling. It was a little too much for us but a great special Sunday breakfast!

Beefy Baked Ravioli

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2006
Great recipe!! I’ve made it a couple of times now. It doesn’t seem to have enough sauce for our family so I use a 29oz can of sauce and the diced tomatoes. I also substitute the ground beef with Mild Italian Sasuage..so yummy. I added the sauce to the meat and let it simmer a little bit before I put it into a dish. I didn’t have an 11x7 baking dish so I used a casserole dish that was pretty big. While I was layering I squeezed in a few more ravioli’s than called for also. Our company loved it and my husband loves it for lunch the next day! Thanks for the recipe.

Easy Decadent Truffles

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2007
These turned out amazing! I made two batches total. My first batch was devoted to a raspberry truffle. I used 1 ½ teaspoons of raspberry extract instead of vanilla. For the other batch I made it just as the recipe said. I scooped the truffles with a melon ball scoop to make them uniform but still rolled by hand. After I rolled the truffles I put them on a cookie sheet on wax paper and put them in the freezer. While they were in the freezer I melted milk chocolate. I took out about a dozen truffles at a time and I dipped them. I put them on wax paper laid on my counter to set and continued to dip the remainder. I let them all set and my taste tester, my husband, told me that I needed to dip them again to get the nice thick coat of chocolate like Harry and Davids. I dipped them again after they had set the first time. For the raspberry ones I melted red dipping chocolate and drizzled over the top to distinguish them from the others. I was bringing them to a party so on some of the other chocolate ones for the kids I put on sprinkles and crushed candy canes while the chocolate was still a little tacky. The only problem I found was the candy cane toped ones didn’t store longer than a couple of days. The rest of the chocolate ones I drizzled some with white chocolate and some with dark chocolate. Next year I am going to take half of the chocolate batch and when I roll the truffle put a hazelnut in the middle. Thanks Jenny for the recipe it will be a new Christmas tradition!

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2007
I was so excited to bring this to a church function but it turned out so bad I simply couldn’t bring it. I followed the recipe exactly but it didn’t come out of the pan very well and it was under cooked in some parts and over cooked in others. I’m giving it 3 stars simply because my husband still liked it and ate it all!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2007
I made this recipe exactly as it says and it was great! We all loved it but we ended up making it our own one evening we needed to be somewhere and fast. I browned 1lb ground turkey with onion powder in a pan. I doubled the golden mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce and the water and put it in the same pan. We let that sit until the noodles were close to being ready then I added 8 oz cream cheese. While I got the plates and every thing else ready the cream cheese melted and it is a quick and easy meal. No need for the crock-pot if you just need a quick meal on an unexpected busy night.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
The best!! I read some reviews and lowered my oven to 325 but it didn't bake very well so I put it up to 350 and they came out great! They were crisp and gooey right out of the oven and even after they were stored in a ziplock they were still great.
