Nova Scotia Blueberry Cream Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2006
This was VERY yummy!!! And very easy to make!!! I also made/baked this the night before, let it cool, and then put it in the fridge. took it out an hour before serving the next day. The whipped cream on top really makes the cake!!! Also want to note. I cooked it 65 minutes and the whole cake never browned, just the edges. It was perfect!

Perfect Pressure Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2006
For the cut of meat, this is a great recipe with great flavor!!!! I don't have a pressure cooker, but did cook it in the oven, covered at 350 for 1.5 hours and it was great!! I did add mushrooms!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
This was really good, my husband said best chicken ever!!! You do really need to brush the chicken every 10, otherwise the sauce burns in the bottom of the pan! Loved it!

Sweet Green Bean Bundles

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
This tasted so fabulous!!! what a great alternative to your standard holiday green bean casserole!! I read the other reviews, so I used fresh beans and actually when I took them out of the oven, we had lots of kids, so I thought best to just quickly chop it all up in the dish to just mix the beans and bacon, rather than leave them in the bundles - just an option! And I used 1/2 the sugar called for.

Oven Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
This was a easy and great roast, nice flavor! I only gave it 4 stars because I think had I cooked it 3 hours as directed it would be so dry and hard! I used a 5.5 lb roast and 2 hours was plenty!

Garlic Prime Rib

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2005
This recipe was fabulous, it smelled and tasted wonderful!!!! I pressed my garlic and next time will take it out around the 130-135 degree mark. I took mine out at 140 and it was 145 within minutes and that made most of the cuts more medium - it would have been nice to have a few more medium rare cuts! Everyone loved the meat, it was so tasty and so very easy to do!!!

Sauerbraten Klopse (Sauerbraten Meatballs)

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2005
I was just looking for an alternate meatball recipe to my usual....this was good and really has that German taste to it. Not all around fabulous, because of the uniqueness of the allspice/clove flavor but a 4 star recipe!

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2005
I followed the exact recipe and we thought the chowder was just okay. It was more like a thick potato soup recipe, because it really lacked the good clam flavor. If you grew up on SF chowder than you will need to add quite a bit to this recipe to match it. However, it was very easy!

Mary's Roasted Red Pepper Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2005
I made this dip 2 times over the holidays and both times people raved!! The recipe is so easy. I added as much red peppers as looked good, I'm sure it was more than what was called for. Second time I made it I used the peppers made by vlasic rather than a fancy brand in oil and tasted no difference! This dip is also equally as good heated up in the micro the next day!

Batman's Best Caesar Dressing

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2004
I just didn't like this recipe. My husband and I are huge caesar lovers, we choose restaurants based on their caesar's! So I'm surprised we didn't care for this, it was tangy and bitter. After reading the reviews again, seems most that liked the recipe didn't use the anchovy paste so maybe I'll omit it and try again?

Easy Caramelized Onion Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2004
This was tender and yummy, I wish the recipe had been more clear as to how long the cook time really was. The final step of cooking the water off is much longer than 20 minutes. I'm still not sure? I had to pull off the pan and pour the rest of the water out cause all my other side dishes were ready! But still easy for the end result!

Sloppy Joes II

This was exactly the flavor I was searching for, very good. I didn't have a green pepper on hand so I left it out and it was very good, can't wait to use the pepper next time!

Chicken In Sour Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2004
This recipe was amazing. My husband said right away this was the best tasting chicken he has had. Since so many readers commented on the saltiness I dared using the whole soup mix, I used 3/4 and it was super, probably could have used the whole pack. I forgot to season the chicken after I browned it so after pouring the gravy on a sprinkled each thigh with Pepper - this made it very tasty the thighs were so tender! I think using thighs with the skin is the key, absorbs all that gravy. I also spread the gravy on the bottom of the pan.

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2004
The taste/flavor of this dressing is fabulous, I love Dill! This recipe written with sour cream is definitely the consistency of a dip, I replaced the sour cream with buttermilk which is still a thick dressing, but the flavors seem to hold together better on lettuce when it's not so thick.
