Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2010
My husband is from Chicago and was very skeptical that I could make him a "real" Italian beef sandwich. When he tasted this, his whole face lit up. He LOVED it. I used 2 cans of beef broth instead of water, and a 2.75 pound roast. Instead of shredding I sliced the meat as thin as I could and then returned it to the liquid. I thinly sliced half a red and half a green pepper and added it to the meat and cooked until the peppers were done. It turned out just about perfect for him - the only thing keeping it from being absolutely perfect was that I couldn't slice the meat thin enough by hand.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
YUM! I've made this chicken so many times that I have the recipe memorized. It's also excellent with pork chops instead of chicken breast.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2010
This recipe is incredible! Probably too spicy for little kids, but DH and I couldn't get enough. The only thing I changed from the recipe was to add 5 cloves of garlic instead of 3, otherwise I followed the recipe just as written and it was perfect. This is definitely going in to the rotation at my house. Thank you!!!

Alfredo Sauce

Everyone I've ever made this for has said it's the best alfredo they've ever had. I have to agree 110%. YUM.

Jammin' Tarheel Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
This chili ROCKS, despite it's unfortunate name LOL! (sorry, I'm a diehard Duke fan). I put it in the slow cooker on low for the day (instead of on the stove), and my family doesn't care for kidney beans so I substitute a can of pinto beans. I tweak a lot of recipes more, but this one only needs those two small changes to make it perfect in my house. I make it probably twice a month in the winter. YUM!

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
It was OK, but I probably won't make it again. I floured and browned the chops with onion & garlic powders and pepper after reading the reviews.

Simply Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
My husband and I LOVED this recipe, and it was so easy. The next time I make it, I'll pound the chicken flat first because we loved the breading so much. Thanks for sharing, this is going in to our regular rotation.
