Hot German Potato Salad III
Wonderful as-is – I thought the amount of sauce was just right. I made a half-recipe for 6 people. Be aware if you scale the recipe on the web site to 6 servings, it did not adjust the pepper amount correctly for me – it stayed at the original amount. I used medium red potatoes, and substituted chopped chives for onions to make it low-FODMAP. The chives cut the cooking time down, and made the salad pretty. The kids all liked it. I served it for a German-themed meal with Weiner schnitzel, rye bread and “Grandma Jeanette's Amazing German Red Cabbage” from this site. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe – it’s a keeper.

Easy Bake Oven Cake Mix
Our daughter is on a very specialized diet, and because you posted this recipe, we were able to buy her an Easy Bake oven - thank you! I was able to customize this recipe for her diet. The cake turned-out great, and tasted great, too. Thanks SO MUCH for posting! Now our daughter gets to have childhood memories of her Easy Bake oven despite her special diet!

Totally Rye Bread
I tried this recipe because I need to find a fructose-free/fructan-free bread for my son's health condition, so it cannot contain wheat. At first, I assumed the failure each time was due to me altering the recipe to try fructose-free sweeteners. After testing my yeast (it was fine), and after four failed batches, I tried the recipe exactly as written. Same failure. I used just 6 cups of flour, but it just can't rise. It makes a crumbly-textured product that tastes okay, but isn't anything like "bread". Ugh. I wasted so much time. If reducing the flour by 1-1/2 cups still can't make a dough that the yeast can budge, then there's something wrong with this recipe.
