Awesome Yogurt Biscuits

Reviewed: May 12, 2014
I used the 150g (5.3oz) container of Chobani nonfat greek yogurt and 1 1/3 cups Bisquick, made 7 biscuits. SO easy and SO tasty! Next time I think I will either make them smaller or cook at a lower temp because the inside was still a little moist while the outside was getting overcooked. Other than that they are perfect!

Lemon Madeleines

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2013
It seems like there are two types of madeleines, and just based on the descriptions and ingredients from various recipes I couldn't tell which one I should go for. I guess I chose the wrong one. They taste good and I'm sure the cookies will get eaten, but they definitely have a more cake-like consistency than I would prefer. As a point of reference, I think Starbucks madeleines have the perfect consistency. Aside from that, I doubled the recipe because I wanted two dozen, but I ended up with four dozen. I don't know if there are different sized pans but the recipe as is would have made two dozen for me. Also, I didn't have lemon zest, and since I had so much extra batter I decided to do half of them plain and half lemon. So for the first two batches I just left the lemon out, and then I added about a tsp of lemon extract to the remaining batter for the second two batches. I ended up with a delicious lemon flavor that was not overpowering. Yum!

Honey Oat Beer Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2013
I don't own a bread pan (I am not much of a baker) so I made muffins instead and they turned out great! I baked them for about 15 minutes at 375 and they were perfect. I used 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of honey, as others suggested. It was so incredibly easy and it only requires stuff that most non-bakers have on hand anyway, and it makes for a perfect base recipe that you can add onto. I will definitely be experimenting with this on a regular basis!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2012
I used nonfat milk and reduced fat cream cheese, and it was soooooooo gooooood! It's perfect for those of us who lack the particular skill needed to make a roux - it truly is fool proof, a child could probably make this. Traditionally Alfredo sauce is made with Parmesan, but you can use any kind of cheese you want - I used Gruyere and it was amazing! And it great the next day too, and it made a really good cold dip too for veggies or chips or whatever. This sauce can do no wrong :)

Fresh Asparagus Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
Delicious! Great recipe. It did not make very much though, it says 4 servings but it ended up only making 2 dinner-sized portions. But other than that it was perfect!
