Easy and Delicious Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2000
This is very, very good and has many uses. My family had it over rice one night and ate it cold the next day as a chicken salad sandwich. It was so easy because it is a crock pot recipe. Great for those busy days!!

Dawn's Easy Red Velvet Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
These were a HIT at my office. They were gobbled up in about 30 seconds! I left the bourbon, coconut & pecans out. Next time I may make 1/2 with pecans and 1/2 without. Also, I used regular milk instead of evaporated (just because I didn't want to open a whole can for 2 tsp.) I'm making them again this week! Edited: I tried this around Easter using Carrot Cake mix instead of Red Velvet and they were equally delicious !!

Southern Pimento Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
This is exactly the way I've always made Pimento Cheese (minus the jalepeno). I took some to work once and 4 people told me it was the best they've ever had. Yum!

Crab Quiche II

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2000
This recipe is super easy to make and is really good. You can also substitute the crab & swiss with cooked breakfast sausage & cheddar. They will always want seconds with this quiche.

Spicy Seafood Shell Appetizers

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2002
Wow - Oh Wow !! This are scrumptious. I love crab so this one is a definite keeper!! I sprinkled the top with Old Bay seasoning instead of paprika. This recipe wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be. Make extra - because these are addictive.

Candy Bar Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2005
I have made this several times and alwasy get rave reviews. I was looking for the recipe and realized I never saved it in my recipe box - it is in there now! My boss told me she doesn't like brownies but when she tried one of these, she ate 3 of them. She said it is the only brownie she has tasted that she really liked.

Mexican Layered Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2005
Delicious ! I took this to a baby shower and it was gobbled up - everyone kept commenting on how good it was. I added 1/2 package of taco seasoning to the beef and the other 1/2 of taco seasoning pkg. to the sour cream as others suggested. I also left off the green onions. One person told me that she had this kind of dip several times but this was by far the best one she had ever had. This one is a keeper.

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
This was very good - I've never used butter in a glaze before but liked it. I don't have a double boiler so just melted on lowest temp and kept a constant eye on it - it came out great and was perfect over the "Too Much Chocolate Cake" recipe that is also on this site.

This dip is ADDICTIVE! I did not add the butter and served it with "chicken in a biscuit" crackers. If you like hot wings, you will LOVE this !!

Bacon and Tomato Cups

These are really good. I took a few shortcuts and used a package of "real" bacon bits, a can of rotel tomatoes and mini Filo shells. Delicious - would make them again

This dish was amazing !! I think it is the best thing I have ever made (and I love to cook). It would also be good without the shrimp. I will make this over and over.

Chili Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2003
I have made this recipe 3 times now. It is very good. I don't add the hot sauce, instead I used Hot Chili with Beans that already has tabasco sauce added to it (Hormel). It is great comfort food.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2005
Oh my goodness! This is comfort food at its best. I just stumbled across this recipe and I am so glad I did. I accidently purchased creamy chicken noodle soup instead of cream of chicken soup but I used it anyway and it come out great. Also, to save time, I cooked the chicken in the crockpot while I was at work and then boiled the noodles in chicken broth. I loved this recipe - can't wait to make it again.
