Martha's Vegetable Beef Soup

Let me start off by saying my six year-old actually told me she loved this and she's not a soup lover. Then my husband ate two huge bowls and raved about it. I omited the sugar and it stil l worked!

Just Like Wendy's® Chili

The first time EVER my husband said he loved a chili I made- and he said it twice! It's pretty darn close to Wendy's flavor and consistency. My only regret was that I cut the recipe in half since I was only cooking for three and I wasn't sure if it would turn out well. Cutting it in half also wastes the canned ingredients as you use half a can of everything. Next time I will make the 10-serving batch and freeze the leftovers- frozen chili sets up so well it will be even better!

Strawberry Cake II

Cake has a good flavor. Wasn't a fan of the icing so I made cream cheese frosting which complimented it well.

Harvest Apple Cider

I don't know what I did wrong... it just tasted like warmed pineapple juice. I had even added an extra clove and cinnamon stick but it still had no spiced cider taste. Won't make again.

Brown Sugar Smokies

A broiling pan would be very helpful, esp. if you are making this for a get-together. Good recipe, went over well. I inserted toothpicks into each and removed them just prior to serving for better presentation. Assembled the night before and covered them in brown sugar but sugar didn't adhere, so I did what others recommended and applied brown sugar to bacon wrap before wrapping. Made a big difference.
