About this Cook
I'm Sasha and I currently live in Denver, CO. My husband is in the Navy and we have 2 kids Landon and Lily. Landon is 3 and Lily is almost 8 months old. We have really enjoyed getting to travel, see new places, and meet people from everywhere. I am a stay at home mom and really enjoy spending time with my kids and of course, cooking! Cooking is my favorite hobby!
My favorite things to cook
I don't really have a favorite thing to cook. I love trying out new recipes and I'm open to trying anything. I cook something new every week and I'm always excited to cook something I haven't done before. I love challenging myself too and doing something I might find hard, and sometimes it might turn out great and sometimes it might not!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My best friend and I used to bake every Friday after school. She would come over and sleep over at my house and we would bake cookies, cakes, or whatever we could think of.
My cooking triumphs
Just finally learning to cook! When my husband and I first got married I didn't know how to cook anything! I just wasn't interested in learning. After my son was born my mom said I had to learn to cook and she's the one who really got me interested in cooking.
My cooking tragedies
My first year of learning to cook! Almost everything I made just never turned out that great. My husband would always give a nice complement to my food but I'm pretty sure he was just being nice! AR was a lifesaver and I don't know what I would have done without it!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili
Very delicious chili! I made a few changes. Used 3 pounds of beef stew meat, 3 cans chili beans, left out the green bell pepper (don't like them) increased the beer to 1 cup, used 2 cans Italian diced tomatoes and 1 can of Rotel, 1 chopped jalapeƱo pepper, increased the bacon to 3 tablespoons, and added a can of corn. I kept all the seasonings the same. We're eating this for dinner tomorrow but I had to sneak a couple of bites before putting it into the fridge! Yum! Thank you for the recipe!

Scrumptious Salmon Cakes
This is the best salmon cake I've ever had! My husband couldn't stop talking about how delicious they were. Thank you for the recipe!

Cilantro Chicken and Rice
Great dish! My husband loved it! I took another reviewer's suggestion and added taco seasoning to the flour and cut the chicken into bite size pieces. I left out the cayenne pepper because my kids were going to be eating it. Topped it off with a little cheddar cheese, sour cream, and avocado slices! Yummy!
