Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2012
I followed this recipe exactly as shown and it turned out great. Really nice texture and great flavor. It's not as sweet as most pecan pies I've had in the past but really good. I will make this again.

These a great, moist muffins. The only change I made was to add a full cup of chocolate chips. Just ate two and trying my best not to go in the kitchen for more. Thanks for the delicious recipe!

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
Loved these!!! The only change I made was used pumpkin pie spice in place of the allspice, cinnamon and ginger. They were a bit hit and I'm going to go make them again this morning...I froze half my batter last time so I could have them again another day and they came out great also.

Farm Macaroons

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
I just made these and they taste amazing..love the chewy texture inside and crispy outside...Mine did brown unlike some of the other reviews I have read but they did not turn out like this picture. They are flatter...next time I will make them smaller than the heaping tablespoon they call for so I can have more little cookies. Thanks for the great tasting recipe!

Apple Strudel Muffins

Had I not read a couple of reviews and added some applesauce to this recipe it would have been dry as a bone...the flavor is good but still a bit too dry for my liking...

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
I made these low fat and sugar free by substituting the sugar with Splenda and the 1/4 cup of oil for 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce...also only used one egg plus 2 egg whites...very moist and flavorful ...careful not to over cook them as they will dry out easily...17-18 min in my oven was plenty.

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
I personally found this recipe too sweet and it has a rather odd flavor..but my g/f really liked it. I didn't like that the nice crunchy coating on the chicken turns to mush in the sauce but since she liked it, I will be making it again but with less sugar and Worcestershire sauce.

Caramel Apple Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2010
YUMMMMM! I did very little to change the base of this cake, I only altered it for sugars sake...(too much of a good thing) Sooo I used I cup of Splenda, 1/c cup of Splenda Brown Sugar and 1/2 cup of brown sugar. I also only used 1 cup of the oil and then added 1/4 cup of fat free sour cream (next time I will add 1/2 cup for a little extra moisture) The caramel sauce is awesome and really made the cake.(I did not alter the sugar in the sauce) The apples were nice and soft, the cake was moist and bouncy, not heavy. Nice textures and flavors, will make this again! Thank you for sharing this recipe!

Pineapple Coconut Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2010
This bread is very moist and a has nice flavor..I thought you would taste the pineapple and coconut more though. I might add more coconut next time and maybe some nuts. Since the sugar was so high in this recipe I halved it and used Splenda and Splenda Brown Sugar for the other halves and nobody even noticed. I also used Fat Free sour cream. Thank you for a good recipe, I will make it again.

Mulligatawny Soup I

GREAT FLAVOR! I had to make a couple of fat friendly changes, no butter and I used fat free half and half instead of heavy cream...added leftover white and long grain rice that I had in the fridge (omitted the salt) and added some frozen peas...I love the curry with the apple..very nice and I will make this again!

Spooky Witches Fingers

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
We made these for our Halloween party and they were a big hit...really quite easy to make, it just looks hard. As some of the other reviewers said, make them much thinner than what the recipe says or they turn out looking more like ogre fingers...I didn't have whole almonds so I used slivered and they looked creepy and awesome. I will now make these every year. Thank you Sandra!

Sweet and Sour Meatballs I

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
I made these for a fire dept dinner and they went over well. I also used frozen meatballs. I cooked them in the oven according to the package directions and made the sauce while they were cooking. When the balls were done I put them in the sauce and heated them through for about 15 or 20 minutes. I did as others suggested and just used 3/4 of a cup of the jelly. They were very good. Thank u for the recipe!

Brownies In A Jar

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2007
I made 5 batches of these today for Christmas presents. I put them in decorative cookie bags and paired them up with Christmas oven mitts. I also made a batch for myself to see if they were even worth giving away. They are very nice. Moist and chewy and rich. I did add a tsp of vanilla but that's the only thing I changed. I was going to melt the butter to make the batter easier to spread but found I didn't have to. Really good brownie recipe and thanks for sharing!

Mexican Baked Fish

Very nice! Doesn't get more simple than that...nice flavor and the fish was nice and flaky. I didn't have any sharp cheddar so I grated some American cheese that we had a block of,not as good but an ok backup...I really liked the crushed tortilla chips on top. Thank you for sharing!

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
Similar to banana bread but more moist and dense. Very very nice flavor and the icing is great with it. As some of the other reviewers said, 1 hour is not long enough. 1 hour and 20 min is perfect. I followed everything else to a tee except I didn't have buttermilk and did the milk/lemon juice thing. I will make this again! Thank u for the recipe...

Frosted Pumpkin Doughnuts

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2007
These were nice. Less than spectacular but good with tea. I found them rather dry. I followed the recipe exactly but had it scaled down to half the recipe. The icing had a nice flavor but I had to add more milk, maybe something got lost in the conversion. I might make them again sometime...

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2007
We just had this today with some chili. The flavor is really really nice. It was very very crumbly though. Maybe that was because I didn't have any yellow cornmeal so I used 2 cups of cornmeal flour instead. It wont go to waste though! Anyone have any suggestions on how to make cornbread more firm?

Mom's Zucchini Bread

I just made this tonight and it was great!!! The only thing I changed was the sugar. For the last 1/4 cup I used brown sugar. It was very moist, not dry at all like a couple of the reviews said. I will make this again and again. Thank u for the great recipe :)
