Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2014
This was the best pasta I've ever made! My family loved it. The only thing I changed was use fresh minced garlic instead of garlic powder. Can't wait to make this for my son & daughter-in-law. I know they will love it too.

Grandma's Corn Bread Dressing

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
I made this today as part of our Thanksgiving meal. Everyone one loved it! I used 2 boxes 8.5oz of Jiffy cornbread mix & used 1 tbl. of rubbed sage. I wasn't sure how much sage to add because I didn't know the difference between dried sage & rubbed sage. I found out all "rubbed" means is that it is crumbled. Next time I make it I will add Jimmy Deans sage sausage. Very good

Mama's Asian Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2013
Doubling the sauce is a must. Cornstarch is not needed. The sauce thickens up pretty quick. Next time, I will add snap peas or other vegetable. Otherwise, it looks too plain. I cut back on the sugar & it was a little too sweet for me with the Jasmine rice. Next time, I will try brown or regular rice.

Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2013
These were excellent! I purchased rotisserie chicken at Costco. They have the best! Used light ranch & authentic Mexican cheese. It's called Chihuahua cheese. Perfect for quesadillas too. I followed recipe exactly except I used both corn & flour tortillas. Remember, to spray casserole dish with Pam & warm tortillas in microwave for a few seconds. The tortillas won't break & are easier to roll. My family enjoyed them. Looking forward to left overs for lunch. I can't wait to make again.

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2012
The pork chops I made were thin. I know to watch & decrease the time when I make these again. They were a little dry but tasty. Also, I added 1/4 cup of water & it was not necessary. Served it over rice.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
This sauce is very good. I did add extra ginger & a splash of Tropicana 50 OJ (less sugar). Next time, I'll marinate the meet for at least 3 hrs. and try a more tender cut of beef. Then will I give it 5 stars! Remember to double the sauce.

The Best Parmesan Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
This dish is excellent! I took the advice of others & browned the chicken in a little olive oil after first seasoning with a little garlic salt & black pepper. I also crushed the croutons. My kitchen smelled amazing. I think the key is using fresh basil, not the dried basil. It was a big hit with my brother & his family. Will be making again this week!

Spicy Chinese Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
This was easy to make & my family loved it! I didn't have chili garlic sauce. Instead, I used a little chili paste, red pepper flakes & garlic powder because that is what I had. I used only two tbls. of lite soy sauce & a splash of fish sauce & ground ginger. I made these few changes based on the previous reviews which I ALWAYS read first. This can be made as hot as you'd like. I served it with rice on the side. Delicious!

Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2011
This chili was excellent & so simple. I did reduce the amount of red pepper flakes & used cayenne pepper because that's what I had. I added all the other spices along with a can of black beans, red kidney beans, diced tomatoes & only 1 can of tomato soup. My hubby who is "picky" asked me to save him the leftovers. From now on this is how I will make my chili.

This dish is easy & flavorful. I thought the sauce would be a bit "runny" but it was perfect. So was the amount of sauce. Great fresh basil flavor. My husband and son both enjoyed it.

I don't see where it says to add cottage cheese to the recipe. It says parmesan cheese. I can't wait to try it this Sunday for brunch.
