Peanut Butter Balls IV

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2014
from reviews left out the maple flavoring. I would recommend you sift your conf. sugar to avoid white lumps in your finished treat. I also add a pc of parafin wax to the chocolate to give them a sheen and doesn't affect the chocolate taste at all. A great time to use those chocolate bunnies left over from Easter to melt down for dipping. thanks for sharing

German Beef Rouladen

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2014
so looking for something simple and different this solved the problem, easy and tasted great. Do not care for the pickle either part so this served well with mashed potatoes and a veggie side dish. Only thing I added which I do to everything was a generous sprinkle of granulated garlic. yummmmm

Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2014
I needed to use up some frozen mashed potatoes that went watery when thawed and this was a great way to use them up. I did use 1/4 cup of butter and 2%milk with sour cream. Adding a couple diced carrots and a very small pinch of cumin. Would use this basic for a base for sure and add my own twist to it. Thanks for sharing

Barbequed Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2014
I think this is very good, fall off the bone. The blend of the rub makes these ribs. I followed everything exactly as mentioned, next time will cut back just a bit on the vinegar and some of the rub as found it a bit overpowering. The flavor was liked by all my in house critics, so will definitely make again. thanks for sharing

Cinnamon Raisin Bread II

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2014
I added more cinnamon, just for personal taste as we love this spice, but otherwise followed pretty much all other ingredients. I start the yeast with a cup of warm water and 2 tbsp. of white sugar in the bread machine for 10 minutes first to allow it to bubble up, then added all the other ingredients and let it go, was fabulous, thanks for the recipe.

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2012
I use brown sugar rather than white with a little parsley and Becel, orange juice 1/4 cup works in a pinch too :)

Irish Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
O I made this tonight with some provisions using hamburger, beef broth and green beans and carrots because i did not have lamb or peas.Used the directions and all other ingredients. It was fabulous and I deal with a 14 yr old critic who asked for seconds, this alone immediately put this into my favorites recipe box. Thanks John, I enjoy your light hearted humor while cooking, thank you for the flavor of food

Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2012
i use my pastry cutter or potatoe masher to do the yolks as it makes a nice fine egg to mix the other ingredients into and found these eggs great with no salt due to sodium reduced diets etc
