About this Cook
I love to cook, it doesn't matter what type of food, if I get a thought in my head I just go with it! Sometimes when I'm cooking, I'll get a last minute thought to add something unsuspected to a recipe, my own little twist, so to speak, and it usually works...Cooking makes me very happy, but not as happy as when someone will say..."This is really good, can I have the recipe?"
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE SOUPS! But, Italian cuisine is my favorite food to cook, AND eat!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year my family has a family cook-out. No one tells anyone what they are bringing, so sometimes we have duplicate's, and sometimes triplicates of certain foods. One year we had 5 different types of potato salad, and not one of them tasted the same...IT'S AWESOME!
My cooking tragedies
My first attempt to make pickles, and dilly green beans failed miserably, I added way to much salt. I hated to throw them out, because they looked so pretty in the canning jars.

Simple Scones
This was the first time I have ever made scones, and they came out perfect...I added a tart lemon glaze with lemon peel, and also added a variety of dried fruit...I will make these again!

Brownie Ice Cream Cake
I made this, but added my own twists to it...I used a really good vanilla bean ice cream, and made my own recipe for chocolate ganache that I poured over the top before freezing...DELICIOUS!!!
