German Spaetzle Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2005
Good recipe but I agree with the others- if you don't have a spaetzle maker don't bother because it's too clumpy.

Honey Wheat Bread I

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2005
I always use milk instead of water when I make bread and leave out evaporated or powdered milk and the result here was also very good.

Eggplant Parmesan II

Yummy, yummy, yummy. And you can make small changes according to personal taste without it being any less delicious.

Breaded Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2005
I put fresh garlic (I'm not a fan of the dried stuff) into the buttermilk and put it in the fridge for a few hours. Didn't change anything else and my family absolutely devoured each and every last piece. This is going to become a favorite!

This is easy and very delicious. My kids love it and my husband too. Why bother with store bought?

Easy Arugula Salad

Reviewed: May 31, 2004
I like this with the Parmesan not grated but cut into thin slices. If you like Arugula, you'll like this salad. I substituted a normal vinegar instead of the rice vinegar and it still tasted yummy.

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2004
I let the veggies(and basically any veggie will work) marinate for a few hours, added some garlic, grated some parmesan over the whole thing after baking it and it was a huge hit at my dinner party. Everybody wants the recipe!

Delicious- didn't change a thing. It disapeared so fast off my table that I wondered if maybe I had forgotten to take it out of the fridge???

Sweet Potato Souffle I

YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY Except for following the advice of a fellow reviewer and using less coconut, I didn't change a thing and it turned out delicious! A keeper.

The first turkey I ever made for a dinner party and it was a smashing success! Wouldn't change a thing- but all the other reviewers have said it for me already. Thanks.

Classic Spanish Sangria

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2004
I made this exactly like the recipe said (ok- a little less rum) and it turned out fabulous. Since it packs quite the punch my dinner party got off to a roaring start and just continued going on that way!

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2004
I let the veggies, I used zucchini, eggplant, carrots, and onions marinate (added fresh garlic too) for about 2 hours before I cooked them. Also put a little grated parmesan on top. Made it for a party and everybody wants the recipe, especially after I told them it was easy to make too.

High Flavor Bran Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2004
Great recipe! I substituted skim milk for the milk powder and water and used different types of grains instead of the bran cereal. Very versatile recipe, but more for adults than kids (the taste was too hearty for my two) Thanks

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2004
When even my mother asked for the recipe, I knew it was a winner! I especially love it the day after on a sandwich. Since I live in Germany and have a hard time getting saltines, i substitute dry bread or crumbs and that tastes just as good. Thanks!

I agree with the other reviewers-this is a wonderful recipe! The type of fish can be substituted and even frozen fish used and it still tastes delectable.

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2003
The first time I made this recipe it took me ages and ages but the end result was worth it so i kept making it and now it doesn't take as long and friends and family love them. The only thing is, I use about twice as much flour, but maybe because I live at a high altitude?
