Seabreeze

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2012
I love these. I like to add a wedge of lime squeezed into it. I even had this during a recent snow storm. A Sea Breeze is great anytime of year in my opinion!

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
I've been making this for a couple years. I use ground turkey, and serve it with lime wedges. The lime gives it a fresh little tang. Delish!!!

Garlic Aioli

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
This is awesome! We use it to dip our yam fries in. My sister-in-law showed me how to smash and spread the garlic in coarse sea salt with the flat of a knife. It makes it a smoother texture, so your not getting chunks of garlic.

Pesto Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2011
My son took me to a deli and bought me a breakfast sandwich like this. DELICIOUS! It was made on an english muffin with ham and scrambled eggs, tomato and American cheese and the yummy pesto. I also made a grilled cheese one yesterday. A great combo!

Ultimate Cornbread Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
I love this recipe. I used red peppers instead of green, and white onion instead of red cause that's what I had on hand. I also added sliced celery. I used turkey bacon vs. regular bacon. And I made the cornbread as per instructions on the box, and I let it sit out uncovered over night. I also added a whole box of Mrs. Cuberdson's cornbread stuffing bread cubes. Obviously I had to add extra liquid so I added some of the turkey neck broth. Didn't have the poppy seeds either. This is definitely gonna stay a family favorite Thanksgiving recipe! Thanks.

Pumpkin Spiced Latte

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
I used some strong coffee, 1/2 & 1/2, forgot the vanilla, added 2 tsp. sugar, a couple dashes of pumpkin pie spice and topped it off with whipped cream and another dash of PP spice. My sister-in-law was here and I made it for her for brunch, she loved it!

Different Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
This was excellent! I actually made mine in a skillet with chicken tenders.1st I cooked the chicken in the butter. Then I de-glazed the pan with a 1/2 cp. of white wine. I wrapped each tender with a slice of ham and topped it with a 1/2 slice of swiss cheese. I poured the soup mixture over the chicken . I crushed 1 1/2 cps. of some stuffing mix and added some garlic powder, pepper, and parsley and a little salt. I mixed about 3 tbls. of melted butter into the bread crumbs and sprinkled it over the chicken and soup mix. I baked it for about 20 mins at 350. I served it with steamed broccoli. I will definitely have to double this recipe the next time I make it. I only got one chicken tender and a little broccoli.

Beef Noodle Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
Love the base of this recipe. I only had the onion soup mix so I added 4 bullion cubes. I also thought it needed some vegis so I added peas, carrots, green beans, and corn. I also added onion and garlic to the meat while it was cooking. I wanted a saucier dish so I added 1 sm. can of tomato paste and a 1/2 cup of ketchup, and a tbls. of prepared mustard. I had to add an extra cup of water to the meat and mac mixture to allow everything to meld together. To the instant potatoes I added a pkg of Mc Cormicks 4 cheese potato seasoning. I topped it with a half cup of cornflake crumbs mixed with garlic salt, parsley, pepper and a tbls. of oil. I took a pic before everyone finished devouring it. YUM! Thanks Cathy for inspiring me to even make dinner last night.

Thai Basil Rolls with Hoisin-Peanut Sauce

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
This is a new family favorite. I love the Thai Basil and mint but my kids (young adults) Don't care too much for it. We just make it to suit our own tastes. I used precooked shrimp and pork as well. I added shredded carrots, a cabbage mix, and sliced french fry size cucumber sticks. I reduced the hoisin sauce to 1/2 cup and I added a tbls. of Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce. I squeeze fresh lime on each bite of my rolls. Love it!!! To the people who are upset about the origin of these rolls, whether they are Vietnamese or Thai, I assumed they were called "Thai Basil Rolls" because they contain "THAI BASIL".

Citrus Garlic Shrimp

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
My family loved this recipe! It reminded me of a meal I had at the Olive Garden once. So I added to it ; some diced red peppers and sliced black olives. The citrus was perfect in this recipe. YUM! I am thinking of making it for a Christmas party I am having the day after Christmas. Thanks Diane for a great recipe, I even send this to my cafemom friends on occasion.

Turkey in a Bag

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
I don't think I will do this again for Thanksgiving but for any old day it was a perfect "Bag it and forget it" method. When I tried to lift the turkey out of the bag, it fell apart. So needless to say it didn't look very pretty.
