Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2012
OMG!!!! I would give this 100 stars if I could! The only thing that I changed was to use some lemon juice and regular pepper because I didn't have lemon pepper. It is out of this world and we will be eating this all summer! Easy, healthy and fast! Who could ask for more??? Oh yeah, delicious! This recipe has all the bases covered!

Buttermilk Syrup

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2010
OMG! I will never buy store bought syrup again! This is so easy and better than you can even imagine. Be sure to use a big pot because it foams up as it boils and you don't want it to boil over. I doubled the batch because I wanted a lot. Some other ideas to do with it. Refridgerate it when your done with it as syrup and it will be fabulous over ice cream. Or use it as a great caramel candy recipe. Just keep boiling it until it reaches soft ball stage. 235 to 245 degrees on a candy thermometer and then pour out into a buttered cookie sheet and let it cool. Cut into pieces and wrap in waxed paper. Fabulous candy!

Portabella Basil Sub

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2010
Excellent! So aromatic and incredible. For the reviewer that said it was too many ingredients for "just a sandwich". Go throw a piece of bologna on some white bread. That is "just a sandwich. This is a gourmet treat and if you can't appreciate a perfect blending of flavors and aromas; then you won't appreciate this sandwich. If you want your taste buds to sing in appreciation; make this "feast".

Salmon Fillets with Creamy Dill

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
If I could take away stars and make it a minus 5 stars I would. This recipe is nasty! This recipe totally wasted the salmon as no one in the family would eat it. We had to go out for fast food and the salmon got thrown away. I followed the recipe exactly.

Cajun Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
OMG! They are trying to kill us with salt! Totally ruined 6 eggs and wasted my time. This recipe might be good with less salt, but I'm removing it from my recipe box and looking for a recipe that is good to begin with. I hate wasting time and food!

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
OK, I have to add my voice to the multitude that are already on here. I LOVE this recipe and I don't normally like bread pudding. I could tell by reading the recipe that this would be one that I would like and I wasn't disappointed at all. I followed the recipe exactly and I will be making this recipe frequently! It is awesome! Thanks for submitting it!

Taco Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
I can't believe it! I finally found a recipe that my whole family loves! Even my extremely fussy 27 year old son who won't eat anything had 2 helpings and would have had more except that we ran out even though I doubled the recipe! I did incorporate a couple of the changes that others have suggested. I took the crescent roll crust out just as it was turning brown, before it was totally baked. I left out the sour cream because my son doesn't care for it. I used the big and flaky Pillsbury crescent rolls and put them out in a 9x13 pan. I doubled everything else in the recipe. I served it with sour cream and salsa on the side. 6 adults ate the pan full and could have eaten another full pan full because everyone liked it that much! I will be making this often and it will be a really quick, easy dinner to make when I get home from work too. Thanks so much for this recipe. It is very versatile and extremely YUMMY!!!

Baked Parmesan Perch

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2008
My family loved this recipe. I used pollack fish and added a bit more seasoning to it than the recipe called for, but as a base recipe, this one is a keeper and I will follow it often!

Absolutely wonderful! Fabulous flavor! I will never buy a packaged or bottled marinade again. This will be my marinade of choice. Better than any steakhouse flavor, that's for sure!

Sweet Grilled Corn

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
I am honestly amazed that so many people raved about this sweet corn recipe. Because of that, I couldn't wait to try it. Boy was I disappointed! It wasn't fabulous, or even delicious. It was just "alright". The seasonings that cooked into it overpowered the wonderful flavor of the corn. It really tasted like the corn had been boiled and then rolled in Thanksgiving day stuffing. We are used to grilling sweet corn in the husks and the grilling intensifies the sweetness of the corn. I am so disappointed that we wasted the corn and the spices. We won't be making this recipe again. :-(

Cranberry Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2007
I just had to review these bars again. I did it last year when I first made them and I got the recipe out again for another season of parties. I took them to a class meeting of future business owners and they went nuts! Then I took some into work with me and they went nuts for them too. My boss told me that I should market and sell them because I would make a fortune. They are that good!

Quick Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
YUMMY!!! And so easy! I was so happy to get this recipe today. Hubby looked at it and said, "yeah, make it for me". He was half kidding, but I had all the ingredients, so I did! It took about 50 minutes in the oven, but other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. It turned out perfectly! I can't wait to try it with other ingredients. This recipe is a keeper! Thanks!

Fettuccine with Sweet Pepper-Cayenne Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2007
I got this recipe in my email today from allrecipes and needing something for dinner, decided to try it. I did make a few changes like others did. I only used 1/2 t. cayenne pepper. And it was plenty hot! I added two small cans of sliced mushrooms when I simmered the peppers and garlic and I grilled 2 chicken breasts on the George Foreman with greek seasoning on them and then cut them up and tossed them in the veggie mix. This made a ton of food for 4 people and everyone loved it! I think next time I will try it with shrimp! We will definately be making this again! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Marshmallow Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2005
I really liked this recipe and they were gone in no time. But with my oven, they came out pretty underdone in the middle after the 25 minutes. I was hoping that they would firm up as they cooled, but they didn't. So I put them back in for another 15 minutes after they were cool and that did basically nothing. So I think they need to be cooked longer initially. I will definately try this again though. Hopefully I can get the timing down with my oven. I did substitute peanut butter chips for the chocolate chips since I am allergic to chocolate. They were very rich and very yummy!
