Southern Style Thanksgiving Green Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
Didn't use ham hock because I couldn't find any at the store. I used bacon instead but I think it would have tasted better with the ham hock.

Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
Outstanding recipe. Everyone loved them. I made a pecan pie after making these bars and I won't be making the pie again. This recipe is a keeper. The only change for next time is reducing the crust by 25%. Thanks for the great recipe!

Extra Easy Hummus

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2007
Great starter recipe. I added half of the cumin and it tasted perfect. I also added paprika and parsley on top and refrigerated for several hours. Used whole wheat pitas cut in triangles that I toasted in the oven. Thanks for the recipe. I'll never buy hummus from the store again.

Fresh Peach Cobbler I

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
Delicious peach cobbler. This recipe is very simple. I made it at the last minute using fresh peaches that I just purchased from the store. I took another reviewers advice and boiled the peaches so peeling was a snap. The only changes was adding 1/2 tsp cinnamon to peach filling and sprinkling sugar/cinnamon on top of cobbler. Several years ago I made my first peach cobbler the traditional way with the homemade pastry crust. It took nearly 5 hours and it didn't taste as good as this one. I will use this recipe often as the taste is superb even with the short preparation time. Some reviewers mentioned the cobbler was bland. I disagree only because the true flavor comes from the peach filling and not the cobbler. The combination of both is what makes this dessert scrumptious. Thanks for the recipe!!!

Superb. This is my first lasagna. The sauce has so much flavor. It tasted very authentic. I used ground turkey and added spicy italian sausage.I will not buy spaghetti sauce again. I had leftover sauce and used it to make spaghetti.

Roasted Tomatillo and Garlic Salsa

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2007
Easy recipe and very spicy. The only reason I give it a 4 star is because I think it is lacking a spice or two.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2007
This recipe is so simple yet full of flavor and delicious. I didn't know chicken breasts could be so moist. I let the chicken marinate in the olive oil and garlic a couple hours before baking. The only added salt, pepper and pepper flakes. My husband was happily surprised and said it was the best chicken he had ever tasted. Thanks for this recipe!

Warm Crab Parmesan Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2007
This is a good base, but like others I had to doctor it up a bit. I cut the sour cream and mayo in half. I used shredded parmesan and the Italian blend. I also seasoned with Old Bay seasoning and Boarshead Jalapeno sauce. Added real crab and shrimp. I served with blue corn chips. It was still a bit too runny so next time I may add even less sour cream and mayo. Also will serve with pitas. My husband devoured it. Thanks for the recipe.
