About this Cook
Hey, I just love family, and having the group together. It is nice because my grown children still live close. Family includes grandparents, Aunts Uncles and cousins often. Also we're lucky enough to have a few close friends to include occasionally at our home.
My favorite things to cook
Any thing that I can translate 1/2 meat eaters, 1/2 vegetarian. Lasagne, chicken casseroles 1 with fake chicken, Tacos lots and lots of salads. BREAKFASTS for dinner. Not an easy task, and I have twice as many pats and pans as most cooks at the end of the meal.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother's home made PA Dutch Pot Pie Noodle dinner. Always serve a sweet/sour side dish at each meal.
My cooking triumphs
Most Sunday dinners for the family and friends are pretty darn good.
My cooking tragedies
Going to a Thanksgiving Day football game, telling my mother to please go to my house and put the turkey in at 11am. At 2 when I got home it was in the oven, but the oven was not turned on. Miss my mom......would give anything to have her do that again. The following Thanksgiving I put the turkey in and turned the oven onto auto start, but didn't check the auto off. It went off an hour after I had it to turn on. Now I stopped going to football games on Thanksgiving morning.

Baked Whole Cauliflower
Well this tasted like cauliflower with bread crumbs on it. I follow the recipes to the tee. This was pretty much flavorless. Next time I will add the mustard and mayo like someone suggested. Presentation nicer than a dish of cauliflower so everyone wanted to try it. All were disappointed.

Roasted Vegetables
I always follow the recipe to a tee finding it crazy when I read a review that says it's a 5 star recipe but I added or I subtracted. Hello rate THIS recipe not yours. OK this one was pretty average. my opinion was that there were too many dried spices. The flavor wasn't too strong because of it, but I felt lesser and fresher herbs might have been better. LOVE and I use it all the time. Thanks.

Bacon Wrapped Pork Chops
followed the recipe to a tee. Too little sauce to keep the pork moist. Mine was dry, and you couldn't even tell there was cheese sauce on it. 1 tablespoon didn't even cover the center of the chop. The bacon didn't wrap all the way around the chop either....Very dry. Sorry not a keeper for me.
