Cheesecake Supreme

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2003
This is a great cheesecake! I have served it 3 times, and always had everyone ranting about how good it was! I've never had it crack, I followed the directions changing only the fact that I cooked it for 2 hours, and let it sit in the oven to cool, after turning it off. Then I refrigerated it overnight.

Lasagna Alfredo

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2008
This was great...the hubby and kids loved it! I didn't have ricotta so I substituted with cottage cheese. We like dark meat so I used chicken thighs, and I deleted the salt and pepper. This recipe is a keeper! Thanks!

Creamed Chicken over Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2012
YUM! I did an ingredient search because I had leftover chicken and a package of french cut green beans. When I read this recipe I was not sure it would work with my kids, but I had all the ingredients, so I took a chance since the reviews were quite good. Well, it lived up to it's rating and reviews! Didn't change a thing....quick and easy, it was a hit with myself and my teens! Try it...you'll like it!

These were very yummy! I didn't have any peaches, so used 2 nectarines, and it turned out great!

Sweet Russian Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2007
Wow! This was good the first night, and still yummy for leftovers. I only changed the meat, using stew beef instead of ground beef, leaving the other ingredients intact! We loved the sweetness...

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2007
I changed up a few things, but with the end product using your basic recipe, my family enjoyed it! I sauteed onions and 2 cloves minced garlic while frying up the meat; used cooked brown rice, and added basil and parsley to all when combining everything. Like a previous reviewer, I steamed, rather than baking it for an hour, and it turned out yummy, husband and kids agreed!

Butternut Squash Fries

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
These were TERRIFIC as written...I tried adding spices other reviewers added, and they were also tasty that way...but they are truly good without olive oil, and with salt only...I used a potato peeler to remove the outer skin before slicing into fries...worked great! Thanks for this healthy way to enjoy fries!

Pat's Mushroom Saute

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2007
It may have tasted even better with the butter, but I didn't add it for calorie sake...loved it without, though!

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2007
Yummy, yummy! This was soooo easy to make and eaten up quite quickly! Cinnamon-sugar mixture could be cut in half, and we left off the raisins and walnuts, as my kids don't like 'em. This recipe is a keeper!!

Grandma's Five Cup Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2007
My mother-in-law gave me this recipe with all the same ingredients, using 1 cup of each so it was truly "5 cup salad." However, the variation I use to make it lower fat and less calories, is replace the sour cream with dannon low-fat peach yogurt. Hubby thinks it tastes better with the yogurt.

Creamy Dill Cucumber Toasties

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2004
Thanks, Dianne,I made these for a recent dinner party, and they were all gone in a flash! The adults AND kids loved them. I did two things differently. I ran a fork all the way down each side of the cucumber after it was peeled to make it decorative, then sliced it afterwards. I also used grape tomatoes, sliced in wedges, and placed them on top to add color and a slightly different taste.

Favorite Banana Blueberry Quick Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2005
This is an awesome recipe!! My family loves banana bread and blueberry muffins, and this was a great combination of those two flavors! The bread was gobbled up quickly! This recipe is great as is, however upping the blueberries to 1 cup made it blueberrier! Thanks Holly...this is a keeper!

Double Chili Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2006
I have made this numerous times, because I get so many requests for it!! I never have any left. The only change I make (only because it's what I keep in the cupboard...) is that instead of beanless chili, I use chili with beans....

My kids loved this! Tried it as written, next time with the nutella...they liked it both ways, but my kids love chocolate, so with nutella was the #1 choice. I will be making again for kids parties! Thanks!

Mock Coconut Pie (Spaghetti Squash Pie)

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2007
I was a little skeptical about this at first, but I had left over spaghetti squash after making another recipe on this site, and had all the other ingredients on hand. It ended up tasting quite good! It is good either warm or cooled, however we liked it better warm. Thanks for the interesting new recipe!

Lentil Soup

Loved it! I added more carrots and celery, cut the lentils to 1 1/2 cups and added more vinegar. It is even better leftover! Thanks for the great and healthy recipe.

Mendi's Favorite Orzo

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
I love mushrooms, but a couple family members don't, so I omitted those, but bet this tastes better WITH. I will make them another time with mushrooms as a side for me and the mushroom lovers in the house. To make up for the olive oil, butter and mushrooms that I omitted, I added a few shakes of garlic powder and a Tastefully Simple season salt and this was a nice side dish. Can't wait to try it with the mushrooms!

Sunshine Hummus Melts

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2011
When I took the first bite, I wasn't sure I liked this...I liked each item individually, but not thinking I liked them together! After each successive bite the flavors were growing on me. By the time I ate the entire sandwich, I had decided I liked it and would definitely make this recipe again. I used Honey Crisp apples because that is what I had in the house, next time I'll try to stick to the recipe and use Granny Smith.
