Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Amazing. This recipe is wonderful, and it tastes like the kind of bread I pay 4 bucks (or more) a loaf for! I made this on Saturday, gave away two of the three loaves, and then when I had to visit a friend late Sunday afternoon, I brought her the 3/4 loaf I had, knowing I could easily whip up another batch. I subbed vegetable oil for the butter, and for the batch I made today, I used brown sugar instead of honey and Earth Balance to brush after they were done baking. I had two big slices as toast for breakfast Sunday, with homemade strawberry jam, and man! YUM! Soft, but firm, perfect!!! bread. This is an easy recipe (even easier if you have a kitchen aid mixer for kneading), and I'm excited to alter it the next time I make it, maybe a cinnamon raisin or nuts-and-seeds variation. (Since there are 3 loaves, you can do 3 different breads!) Thank you Nita for giving us your recipe, I will use it for years to come!
