Colonial Brown Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2003
makes a tasty bread. Ideal to serve with a meal. Not a sandwich bread. Really loved this recipe.

A Number One Egg Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2003
I made the bread into two regular loaves and baked it. When I put it into the oven, it was the regular sixe of bread, but when I took it out the loaves were HUGE. They looked like a couple of double decker buses. But oh so yummy!!! We did try french toast and it was delicious. Will definently make this again. I don't want to invest enough effort to braid it, but maybe three or four loaves would be better.

Microwave Peanut Butter S'Mores

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
We made these without peanut butter and they worked wonderfully! We can make four at a time in our microwave, and with a family of seven that is important.

Homemade Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
This was quick, easy and yummy. I did end up with a few cooked bits of egg, so I'll be more careful about that in the future, but the flavor of the pudding more than made up for it!

Chocolate Eclair

So yummy! It does require a little planning, though. You can't just whip this one up at the last minute. It is worth the wait!

Whipped Hot Chocolate

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
This was far too rich for my liking, but when we cut it half and half with regular milk it was really yummy. One reviewer described it as hot melted chocolate ice cream. That description is right on!

Raspberry Oat Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
I made these with a gluten free flour mix and they were terrific! So yummy and pleasantly chewy. If you should need to make them with gluten free flour, be sure to add a little xanthan gum. I didn't and mine were a little crumbly.(probably wouldn't be a problem with regular all purpose flour). Hard to hold in the hand but otherwise perfect.

Potato Poofies

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
The flavor f these was a little bland and they were a little dry...but dipped in ranch dressing they were great. All five of my boys ate these, including the pickiest eater this side of the milky way and the one who doesn't like potatoes. These get five stars from me for working a miracle at my table.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2007
I usually like my cookies very soft and chewy, but I love the little bit of crunch these have! I made the first batch with reduced fat pb, not so good. Also, 2 extra ounces of pb will change the whole recipe, and not for the better at all. Add the vanilla and bake 10 minutes. They are great!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2009
We had some tilapia in the freezer that we were loathe to eat because our first experience with it was so awful. This recipe is amazing! Even my five picky sons gobbled it up! I highly recommend this, it is sooo easy and remarkably yummy.

Banana Pancakes I

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2007
We used these for an after school snack. We spread them with frosting, strawberry jam and coolwhip, and they were great! My banana hater just ate his plain. Just a note on some previous reviews: Firstly, if your pancake is mushy inside it is probably because you undercooked it. Secondly, if you are going to rate a recipe, you should actually TRY the recipe before you doctor it totally up, then you stand a chance of knowing what it was you didn't like or could have liked better. Thirdly, look closely, the recipe does not call for any baking SODA.
