All Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2003
I used Braeburn apples, since that is what I could buy on sale at Costco. They worked great. I added 6 lbs of apples, cut the sugar to 2 cups and added 1/2 tsp of allspice. I also used my handheld blender for shakes to smooth out the apple chunks (after the mixture baked overnight). I loved the final taste of this apple butter. I will make it again. Thanks!

Grandma's Pear Preserves

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2003
Great flavor and easy to make... I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out great. I was looking for a Pear jam recipe, so after the pears cooked I used my handheld mixed and pureed the pears before adding the pectin. Great recipe. Yum! Although be prepared... it makes a big batch.

Herbed Chicken and Fettuccini

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2003
My husband and I didn't really care for this recipe. The sauce did not have much flavor. I am not sure what I could have done differently. I reviewed the other suggestions before making our dinner, and I was really looking forward to tasting this wonderful meal. I doubled the veggies & sauce, but I don't think it helped much. I was really disappointed. I won't be making it again.

This is a wonderful recipe!! I did replace the white sugar with brown sugar and am very happy with the results. With this recipe I baked three mini loaves and one standard loaf.

Creamy Peanut Butter Fudge

Awesome recipe! I made it several times and distributed as gifts. Also took to my Bunco group and they loved it. I didn't use a candy thermometer, but I did follow the directions precisely as written.

Great recipe. I served the meatballs on a regular hoagie bun, toasted as directed. Turned out great. Big hit with DH who is a somewhat picky eater.

Fish Tacos

Love this recipe! We only used the sauce, since we bought the extra crispy frozen fish. Easy to make and tastes great. DH already requested it again later this week.

Smothered Green Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2007
Very good. I used real bacon bits. First I browned the red onion and minced garlic with a bit of olive oil, then added bacon bits and green beans and chicken broth. It turned out great!

Easy Key Lime Pie I

After returning from a vacation in Florida I was excited to try this pie. It was way way to tart for us. We will continue the search for a true key lime pit.

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies III

Awesome! I did make two changes... 1/2 c. butter and 1/2 c. shortening, plus I added 1 t. of vanilla and omitted the almond. Plus, I chilled the dough 2 hours before baking.

Chicken Pot Pie VIII

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
I made this recipe exactly as stated, except I left out the mushrooms and used a Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust instead of making my own. The recipe lacked flavor and was very soupy. I won't be making it again.

Followed recipe exactly. It was very good! I did only cook the manicotti halfway, so it was a little easier to work with.

Amazing recipe! Perfect consistency for cupcake frosting. I did not add the chocolate and thought the taste was wonderful. It is sweet, but that is how I like my frosting.
