My favorite things to cook
I'm seasonally inspired by the herbs in my garden, strawberry and peach season, and my favorite time of the year, fall!
I also love brainstorming in the liqueur store at the myriad of mixologist possibilities (my blog theme is cooking with alcohol which of course includes my own signature cocktails)
So I do not really have a favorite. I'm just excited at the never ending combinations of tastes, techniques, and textures that are all around us!

My cooking tragedies
One laughable tragedy was my first attempt at a savory cheesecake. I've been experimenting with a lot of different flavors for mini dessert cakes and that's been going great! So I decided to do a combination of marscapone and cream cheese with a cracker crumb oregano crust. The bottom was okay but the top kind of erupted not just into cracks but craters. Filling needs some more work. Oh well...back to the culinary drawing board on that one :)
