Bacon Ranch Chicken Skewers

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2014
These are so simple and taste great. I had to substitute tabasco for the chile paste.

This had no "wow" factor for us. Won't be making again.

Rainbow Pasta Salad II

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2014
Great basic pasta salad recipe. Your dressing choice obviously plays a big part in the flavor of this. Be mindful of that when selecting. I chose a restaurant's dressing that I really like that is sold in the grocery store.

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2014
This is just too awesome for words. I don't like the taste of frozen strawberries, so I always use fresh. The crust is definitely hard, but who cares, it tastes great!

Busy Day Barbeque Brisket

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2014
For brisket cooked inside, this was good. I don't have a slow cooker; so I cooked covered in the oven at 275 degrees for several hours. To me thyme is a strong spice; so I used about half of what was called for.

Alabama Fire Crackers

Waaaaaay too oily. I will make these again, but I will cut the oil way back. Otherwise, very good flavor.

Garlic Balsamic Shrimp

Reviewed: May 12, 2012
Great flavor. We used a grill basket on the barbeque to cook everything. Since the peppers and onions take way longer than the shrimp, we put them on first to cook for a while, then added the shrimp.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
This is now one of our favorite breakfast casseroles. This is a great alternative to the traditional eggy breakfast casseroles. I serve scrambled eggs on the side for those of us who like the eggs.

Cube Steak Parmesan

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2011
There is not too much to this recipe. I used my own marinara sauce which I always have on hand. The recipe is relatively simple and straight forward. I'm not a big fan of cube steaks, but wanted to try them anyway. I'll stick to chicken or eggplant. Basically, this is the same as a chicken or eggplant parmesan recipe.

Chocolate Covered Cherries

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2011
I used this recipe on strawberries trying to duplicate chocolate covered strawberries from a candy store in Memphis. Even though these were good, the fondant did not turn into syrup like I had hoped. I am still looking for a recipe that will work. Try this on strawberries, though, they do turn out good.

Quick Savory Cranberry Glazed Pork Loin Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2011
This was sooo good. Thanks to CNBH for the cooking tip. Roasting at 350 for 15 minutes per pound worked perfectly. My roast was so juicy, and I have always had trouble with pork coming out dry and tough. Also substuted plum jelly for apple. I couldn't find apple jelly anywhere. I also browned the roast on the stove before coating with the glaze and roasting. This one gets filed in Family Favorites.

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2010
This is a very simple dish to prepare and full of flavor. One thing I always do with chicken breast is pound it to an even thickness. Not only does it cook quicker and more evenly, it gives it a more delicate texture. We put the chicken slices back in the sauce for serving over the pasta.

This is a really good dense cheesecake. I do have a problem with the flour completely dissolving though.

Unbelievable Rolls

These are delicious! Makes a lot of dough. I have half of it in the freezer that I'm going to use for cinnamon rolls. As dinner rolls, though, the recipe worked beautifully.
