Love me some al fresco!

While I do enjoy eating outside, al fresco, the 'al fresco' I'm referring to is a fabulous brand of all-natural chicken sausages. They are gluten free, with no artificial ingredients, nitrates, MSG, nitrites or preservatives. And best of all, they come in a bazillion flavors! What's not to love?

As an Allrecipes Allstar, I had the opportunity to try the sausages this month,  make a few of al fresco's recipes, including creating one of my own! I have to admit, I don't usually start from scratch and 'wing it' in the kitchen. I'm more of a recipe tweaker. I like finding a recipe that looks good, and adding a bit of this, and a little of that.

I've tried four flavors of al fresco sausages so far and they've all been delicious. What makes them even better is that they're not greasy at all and are much healthier than pork sausages.

For my al fresco 'creation', I decided to make a stuffed baked potato. I'm not sure why, but I suspect it's the conversation about baked potatoes that I had with my husband a few days ago that triggered the idea.

Well here it is, my Andouille-Stuffed Baked Potatoes, stuffed with andouille sausage, jalapeno, green onions and sharp cheddar. This would also work great with other flavors such as Chipotle Chorizo, Spicy Jalapeno or Buffalo Style!

I think your recipe sounds delicious and I am definitely going to try it. I have the same feelings about the sausages, I love the fact they are gluten free, healthier for you and delicious!

My cooking triumphs
Planning and making a 6 course meal for hubby's business associates who were in town on business. Not only was this the most time-consuming meal I've ever made, it was my first time meeting all of them! Stressful day, but a huge success!
My cooking tragedies
Hmm...how about reaching into the oven to take out the Thanksgiving turkey and having the pan collapse, dumping the turkey and scorching liquids onto my bare feet. YEEEE-OUCH!
