My Mother taught me how to cook. I cook with Mom's recipes. So I know it must be good. My brother passed away when he was 3 months old (1955). My Mom passed away July 15, 2006. So Mom is finaly able to enjoy being with my brother. I know they are in heaven with GOD. So that makes me happy for them. But I miss Mom so much. I'm not sure I'm going to make it through the holidays. I know Mom would want me to just get on with life. It's not that easy. So at this time I'm just trying to make it day to day. I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving and Christmas. May you all be blessed with love, health and above all God's love blessings through the coming year.

My cooking tragedies
Right after I got married I cooked lunch for my husband and a friend of ours. When I made the gravy it just kept getting thicker and thicker. And as I kept adding water it got worse. I knew Mom kept adding water but it seemed to make it worse. So I stopped adding water before it started to thin down. We sliced our gravy.
