I'm Italian. I love to cook and bake; and the tweaking or remaking a classic recipe and in creating recipes. I use to teach nutrition, cooking, and baking with an emphasis on vegetarian. I still partake in eating meats, occasionally. I especially like to make things from scratch: breads, pasta, tofu, cheese (& vegan, as well), yogurt, seitan, nut-meats, meatless patties/loaves, utilizing grains, legumes, & veggies. I like to challenge myself! I also like to use different cooking methods which also keeps me challenged.

My favorite family cooking traditions
Are the holidays. My children and grandchildren are together, we gather to bake and cook. We decorate each room. Play. With aromas from the kitchen, we fondly reminisce past holidays and events as a family.

All! My mama, my grandmother (nonna), my aunts (zie) were all instrumental in giving me instruction and inspiration in cooking and baking.
