French Toast I

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2005
this recipe has great flavor. the spices lend a very nice and special touch to the original french toast recipe. the only problem was that there was not near enough batter to make six slices of toast. I only used regular bread, not even thick bread and there was still not enough. I would suggest doubling it or possibly just using time and a half the original ingrediants from the beginning. I also doubled the amount of cinnamon and used a little extra vanilla. Delicious starter recipe and I LOVED the nutmeg in it! thank you for the good recipe.

Banana Smoothie I

This recipe was alright. It was pretty thin even with the egg. Next time I will try freezing my banana first for more texture and wait until it is very ripe. Decent recipe to play around with.

Cinnamon Chips Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2005
I made these muffins just the other day. They were sooooo easy to make! Definately one of the simplist recipes to follow! They were very good. I did add an extra tbsp. of oil since other reviewers said they were too dry. I thought they were good and my grandparents loved them. They weren't the best I've ever had, but I will probably be making them again. I also would add just a bit of cinnamon to the batter.

Graham Cracker Crust I

Great flavor, but too much for 9" pie plate. Very thick. Maybe I didn't press it down hard enough. Thanks

Banana Oatmeal Cookie

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2004
I was really excited to try this recipe. I thought it would be a nice change of pace from ordinary cookies and I had overripe bananas to use. I wasn't very pleased with these cookies. My mom really liked them, but for me they were a bit bland. Not too much of a banana flavor. They were alright when they first came out of the oven. I prefer banana bars much better.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: May 12, 2004
I was not as thrilled by this recipe as was everyone else. Although my boyfriend and brother absolutely loved them. Honestly I wasn't to crazy about the crumb topping that everyone else is. A decent recipe, but I've had better.

Creamy Apple Cinnamon Raisin Oatmeal

Reviewed: May 12, 2004
This sounded wonderful, but did not come out as well as I had expected. It is a decent starter recipe, but by just adding things to oatmeal as to your own taste turns out much better, for instance, you couldn't even taste the maple syrup in this recipe, it need sooo much more brown sugar, and a tad bit of salt. More cinnamon too. Just make oatmeal and add these things to your own taste. Thanks anyway.

Iced Mochas

Reviewed: May 6, 2004
Good recipe. Has a wonderful flavor, but is a little on the runny side for me. Maybe using a few more ice cubes would help. All in all a wonderful recipe to play around and experiment with. Extremely easy to make and nice to enjoy on a hot day. Thank you for this nice recipe.

Beer Bread I

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2004
This recipe is wonderful! I love homemade bread, but am not found of using yeast. This bread not only has a delicous flavor that the whole family loved, but was super simple to make. I did not have any self-rising flour on hand, so I used 3c. all-purpose flour, 3t. baking powder, and 1 1/2 t. salt. I also poured 3Tbsp. melted butter on top before baking. Awesome! Thank you for this recipe!!!

Candy Strawberries

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2004
This recipe is WONDERFUL! My family was skeptical with the ingrediants, but all loved them. They do not last long though. I suggest doubling the recipe. Very pretty and tasty. Absolutly love them and will make many times over. Perfect for a beggining candy maker. Thank you for the recipe.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2003
I made this recipe last year in the fall. It tastes so wonderful and is extremely moist. It was simple to make so that even a beginer like me had no problems. This is one of my favorite recipes and I am planning to make it as Christmas gifts this year. (It was so good that last year my family and I didn't share!) Thanks so much for this recipe!
