Simple Garlic Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
Another winner from Chef John. I wanted shrimp with garlic and when I Googled it this was one of the first recipes I saw. I followed the recipe exactly. Since I have tried other Chef John recipes I just knew this would be amazing. So simple but tastes like a lot of work went into it. I served this with roasted asparagus with balsamic brown butter sauce. It was off the chart delicious. I love how Chef John teaches you to make simple, quick meals that are better than you can get in many restaurants. Thanks again Chef John.

Fluffy Pancakes

Fantastic. perfect, delish, TDF and so forth. So light and you do not feel stuffed after eating. These are wonderful served with buttermilk syrup recipe from this site. Batter holds up for several days and I was surprised. Making these in advance does not hurt the batter at all.

Heaven in a glass. I found this recipe about 2 weeks ago and I have made it every 2 or 3 days since then. People love it and so do I. Follow the directions exactly as written and you will not be disappointed. We are certainly hooked. Perfect for this hot South Carolina weather. Aunt Suzie this is a winner and thank you so much for sharing.

Fluffy Canadian Pancakes

W King thank you so much for sharing this wonderful, delicious and perfect recipe. This recipe is perfect just as it is. I have made it many times and did not find it to be "eggy." Nor, were there any other problems. The leftover batter is even perfect the next day. I will definitely keep making these. In fact, I am making some tonight for dinner. Will serve them with balsamic strawberries. I purchased balsamic vinegar that was aged 10 years and it is fantastic. This recipe deserves them!

Chef John's Scones

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
Chef John was right on the money once again. I made these exactly as the recipe is written and they were perfect and delicious. Saved some for my granddaughter because she loves scones. I got her hooked on scones made from scratch when she was 5 years old and now she always expects Grannie Cheryl (me) to make some for her. Thanks Chef John.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2013
This recipe was perfect! I made it exactly as written. The chicken was delicious. I doubled the sauce recipe to have some leftover. Glad I did that because I decided to try it on some chicken breasts I needed to cook. The breasts turned out juicy and tender. I have never had breasts turn out so wonderfully. Will definitely make this again. Everyone loved it. Thanks Marian Collins. This is a winner to say the least.

Irish Potato and Chive Casserole

5 stars are not nearly enough for this recipe. Cooked this recipe exactly as stated like I always do. This recipe was simple, perfect and easy. People couldn't beileve it didn't take a long time to make. I had planned on taking some leftovers for lunch; however, there weren't any. Made this dish with Chef John's meatloaf and mushroom gravy. Talk about an absolutely perfect and satisfying meal. Thanks BAWHITE1. I will definitely be making these again. I am a potato fiend and these really hit the spot.

Pumpkin Roll II

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
This recipe is pure evil and addicting. People could not stop eating it. There were no leftovers. I followed the recipe exactly as written and it came out "picture perfect" according to my family and friends. I had never made any type of roll and was terrified to try at first, but I managed to roll it both times without any cracks. This is a keeper and I will certainly make all year long. I have already had several requests to make it again. I am hoping to get more than one piece for myself the next time :)

Cheese and Bacon Potato Rounds

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
Excellent. Made the recipe exactly as called for the first two times and it was a big hit. Will certainly make it again. The third time I made it for people that like spicy foods so I sprinkled cayenne pepper on the potatoes before adding the cheese. Everyone enjoyed them.

Buffalo Chicken Wing Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
Chef John does it again. This sauce was wonderful. So glad that I doubled the recipe because I ended up having to make more wings the next day. And, this sauce tasted even better. A definite keeper. Will be making these again very soon for Friday night movie night at home with friends.

For those of you that have not tried it yet do yourselves a favor and make it very soon.

Buttermilk Syrup

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2013
I made this recipe yesterday, followed directions exactly, did not change a thing and it was perfect. Actually it was fantastic!. Refrigerated it overnight and heated up some to go on pancakes made from scratch this morning and it was out of this world. This is a wonderful recipe and definitely a keeper. My sister in Tucson will be making some today. I told her that she will not be disappointed. By the way, for those who said it was sweet well the fact that it is a syrup should have given you a clue. I can't wait to serve it this Saturday when I make Lemon-Ricotta Blueberry Pancakes (from scratch. I plan to double the recipe next time so I can give some to my daughter. ALISSASMOM thank you for this delicious, perfect and wonderful recipe.

Will have to make it again soon because people keep asking for it. This will certainly become something I cook regularly. Thank you LETSGGGO for this perfect and delish recipe.

Balsamic Strawberries

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
This recipe is awesome. Made them last night and my guest kept saying "OMG" with each spoonful. Your eyes close automatically as you eat these :) I fully agree with the reviewer that said "Don't you dare use some cheap ice cream." Do yourself and your guests a big favor and use top quality french vanilla or vanilla bean ice cream. I made them when I was ready to serve dessert in order to prevent having to heat them up. Will definitely make these again. My friends will insist on it.

Pig Pickin' Cake

Lisa W make sure the Cool Whip is very cold. Also make sure house or apartment is nice and cool. I lay all indredients out and take Cool Whip out last. Once I start making the frosting I do not stop. You can also use less of juice from pineapples. I made this cake again today and it was perfect as usual. I hope this helps.
