Connie's Sweet and Sour Christmas Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2015
My husband had made up his own recipe of sweet and sour and we loved it so we were hesitant to try something new. We are glad we did!!! We make this EXACTLY like the recipe except I put in a good quality frozen meatball instead of making my own(omit ingredients for meatballs if you use frozen) and make the sauce just like it says and then we put it all in the crockpot on high for several hours. I am sure it is delicious with the homemade meatballs too, but I used the frozen to save on time. They are delicious! Everyone loves them. Even my daughter who is picky about sweet and sour. Try it! It is a keeper for us.

Baked Potato Soup V

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2013
YUM!!!!! Total 5 stars. I did make some changes. With the changes it is the perfect potato soup. We cooked the potatoes and cut them into chunks. I used real bacon that was cooked to a crisp. We also used about 1 cup of regular onion. Everything else we did exactly the same.

White Bread For The Bread Machine

This recipe was just ok. It didn't have much flavor. It was also a little on the dry side. I have had much better and will continue my search.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2013
We made this exactly as stated. It was so good! I will be making this again. We had turkey and I wanted something different to go with it and not the same old stuffing. This was it!

Master Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2011
For homemade pizza dough, this one is the best. I have tried many, many homemade recipes and this one has the best taste and texture. I used olive oil. It is easy to work with. It makes 2 large round pizzas with a medium sized edge crust. YUM!

Traditional White Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2011
Excellent! We used butter instead of lard. Easy to work with. Tastes great. I halved the recipe and then rolled the dough out into a long rectangle, spread with real butter, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar, rolled up and baked it that way. Cinnamon swirl bread. It was so good! The bread has a nice consistency. I would also use this bread recipe just for plain bread as it was very good.

Cinnamon Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2011
YUM! YUM! YUM! This is one of my favorite cakes. I followed the recipe exactly as stated. I used a bundt pan which I think makes it look nicer if you look at the photos people have posted. It is moist, tastes good, different, and easy to make.

One Bowl Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
I am giving this recipe two stars because the taste was delicious, but the brownies themselves were so greasy that you couldn't cut a nice square and take them out. I had to cut them and then kind of scrape a glop out of the pan. Too sticky and underdone texture even though they were cooked.

Cream Cheese Brownies III

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
My husband made these exactly as the recipe stated. He said they were delicious but he felt it needed more of the brownie mixture, so he may try it next time with 1 1/2 of the brownie mixture and leave the cream cheese part the same.

Cranberry Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
So, so yummy! I followed the recipe exactly, except I had to use a tiny bit less cranberries, because I didn't have enough on hand. These were beautiful for the holidays! They were devoured! The only thing I would recommend is to use less milk in the icing. That way it makes a pretty drizzle instead of running all over. Would make these again for sure!

Super-Easy Rocky Road Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
My husband and I rate this a 4 and my daughter rates it a 5. I made it exactly as stated. It was good and rich. One thing I think that made it a 4 for me was there were too many marshmallows. If I made it again, I would drop the marshmallows down to 2 cups. Also, make sure you keep iti n the fridge. It tastes much better when it was cold. Overall, it was pretty good.

Blackberry Cobbler II

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
I followed this exactly except I doubled the dough as many people suggested. I made this for my family and we liked it ok, but I will not make it again. First of all, doubling the dough was way too much. I would 1 1/2 it. The taste was ok, it was the dough part. I am used to having a cobbler with pie crust type dough. This dough when cooked, was more like a greasy cake batter. Just not our favorite. I will try a different recipe.

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
I followed the recipe exactly. It was absolutely delicious. It did need more time in the freezer though. I would suggest 6 hours in the freezer instead of the 2. After serving each piece, I drizzled a little bit of chocolate over the top. It looked wonderful and tasted just as good!

Corn Chowder I

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
First of all, when you look at the ratings of a recipe, make sure that the person followed the recipe given and didn't add or take away from it. Adding ingredients such as extra veggies can actually thin out the spices and add more water which is going to make it more bland. I followed the recipe exactly and my husband and I absolutely LOVED it. It was delicous!!!
