2-layer Pineapple Upsidedown Cake
About this Cook
I am currently involved in decorating cakes with fondant and sugar art. Most of my cooking is really baking, although I like to experiment with cooking as well. I grew up raising blueberries and I love to bake with them. I am a new grandmother and can't wait until they are old enough to play in my kitchen!
My favorite things to cook
Cakes Cookies Anything with blueberries Appetizers
My favorite family cooking traditions
Fudge and Toll House Cookies are a Christmas staple. My father made these for as long as I can remember, and he literally passed down the pot and wooden spoon to my daughter. I grew up following my father around the kitchen. His way of teaching me was for me to watch and clean up after him. Believe it or not, it worked.
My cooking triumphs
My fondant cakes are my best work. On the outside, they look really nice. What truly makes me happy is when I get compliments on the cake taste.
My cooking tragedies
When I first moved out of my parent's home, I wanted to have a little dinner party. My stove was second hand. While we were having appetizers and drinks, we heard several loud bangs. My stove ceased to work and dinner was ruined.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Made as written - even multiplied the recipe by 8 and they came out magnificent! To make it really easy, I mixed all ingredients, except the meat, in my KA and then just added that to the meat.

Soda Cracker Cookies
I have been making these for years. They are addictive at the very least! To those who don't like nuts, try using coarsly crushed pretzels. To those who complained about them being sticky - you need to boil the syrup longer. A shortcut here will yield a very chewy cookie.
